Skull Fragments Found In Bosnian Mass Grave

BRNICE DAM, Bosnia--Searchers digging at the site of a mass grave near Srebrenica in northeastern Bosnia have found skull fragments, clothing and hundreds of spent bullets, the United Nations said.

'"'This plateau was the site of the execution of a large number of people on July 14, 1995, U.N. spokeswoman Kelly Moore told reporters at the site near the Brnice Dam, where exhumation work resumed yesterday.

The United Nations declared Srebrenica a safe haven during Bosnia's 3-1/2-year war, but it was overrun by Serb forces in July 1995. At least 8000 people from the town are unaccounted for.
