On December 16, 1984, Miss Bette Midler and Mr. Martin von Haselberg were married in a small wedding chapel in Las Vegas after only being together for two weeks. The minister doubled as an Elvis impersonator, and People Magazine voted their marriage the least likely to succeed! Well Bette fooled them, because here she is standing by her husband of 17yrs...

On November 14, 1986, Bette and Martin welcomed their first and only child Sophie Fredrica Alohilani von Haselberg. Here, Bette and Sophie pose for a picture for the NYRP in 1997.
This picture is a bit blurry, but that is Martin in the middle, and Sophie in the purple shirt. This was also taken at Hulaween and I did get to meet them both too.
