Meeting Bette...True Divinity

Now as you may already know...I met with Bette during the course of the evening and afterwards. The first time was a shocker...I was on the phone making a call, when all of a sudden Bette walked into the room and walked into her dressing room, which was right next to me! I had to look twice and then my friend and I just stood there with our mouths dropped and when she came out, we asked for her autograph, which she kindly gave to us. I didn't know exactly what to say, so I just told Bette that it was a pleasure to meet her and that the t-shirt (which she was signing) was made for me to wear to her 1994 concert. After that, Bette put on her spider costume, and we stood there with her while she was waiting to go out on stage. I asked her for a picture and she promised to meet with us for those after the evening was over. During her performance, I stood next to the backstage door and watched her from there. After she encored, she walked back into her dressing room, got changed, and went into the post-show gathering to meet with other celebrities. We had to wait outside for about an hour until Bette came out with her family and said that she was done for the night and then went back into her room. The security guards escorted everyone out, but let us stay because Bette had promised to meet with us. There were five of us who waited another half hour until 12:45am, when a tired, yet always beautiful Bette walked out of her dressing room along with Martin and Sophie, dressed in overalls and a corduroy jacket. She came over right away, and when she got to me I told her "I love ya girl" and she thanked me and put her arm around me, as I did the same to her and we smiled for the camera! After, we asked if she would do a demonstration with my poi balls. She smiled, took them, and did her routine! Boy that girl is somethin' when it comes to balls! haha! When I mentioned to her how I couldn't master them as well, she came over and taught us how to use them correctly! I can now say that I learned from the master! I would just like everyone to know that Bette is just as divine and fabulous as we always knew. She is so sweet in every way (especially for making our dreams come true that night), and SHE LOOKS GOOD! I'll have to say that I felt so comfortable talking with Bette and being in her presence...(I always imagined that I'd be so nervous, and throw up or say something stupid in front of her)...and I think she felt the same around us because we allowed her to be herself too! There isn't a real way I can describe the feeling, and I guess its hard to imagine by reading this...so I hope that the pictures below and on the previous pages will give you some idea of what happened during the course of that evening. Thanks for experiencing the divine with me...
