University of London Forum
on Genetic Engineering

The University of London Forum on Genetic Engineering is an interdisciplinary and intercollegiate group of students and graduates at the University of London, who aim to widen the debate on genetic engineering. Our purpose is to bring scientists and the wider public together for a mutual consideration of responsibility of science and its long-term implications on society and ecology.

For this purpose we are hosting a week-long series of debates entitled "The Unbottled Gene" - A Step Ahead of Evolution? from Monday 8th to Friday 12h March 1999.
