This weeks Billboard Online has this to say about the late Carl Wilson in a
                                 section titled "Passings"

Beach Boys guitarist Carl Wilson, in Los Angeles. Along with his older
brothers Brian and Dennis, and cousin Mike Love, Carl was a founding
member of the Beach Boys in 1961 and became the group's "anchor." He
recorded his first lead vocal in 1965, and his singing became increasingly
prominent the following year. He took the lead on "God Only Knows," a key
track on "Pet Sounds," and shared lead vocals with Mike Love on the No. 1
                                  hit "Good Vibrations."

Also in this weeksBillboard Online, in a year end poll of the
magazine'swriters and editors of the top albums of 1998, International
Editor in Chief Adam White chose Brian Wilson's Imagination as the
number 1 album of theyear and Paul Sexton, London Contributing Editor
                                       picked it as his
                                     number 5 choice.

the PBS version ran approximately 44 minutes and the VH1 version ran 23
                                           minutes.

It appears that there may be some PBS affiliates that do not intend to show
the Brian Wilson Imagination  special during their pledge drive. It is
important that we call our local PBS stations and let them know we want to
see the show as soon as possible since programming schedules for December

Some sad news to report. Singer Warren Wiebe, a man billed as the best
singer never to have a recording contract by Quincy Jones, passed away on
Sunday October 25. Why am I mentioning this here? Well, the only tie to
Brian or the Beach Boys is that Warren is the only person to have recorded
the song "Is There A Chance" , written by Brian and David Foster,
whichcan be found on Fosters "River Of Love" cd.Warren had a wonderful
voice and managed to succeed as a singer in spite of his personal handicap.

      WILSON PERFORMANCES TO BE TELEVISED
                                       From Billboard 11/4/98
A joint concert special/documentary about Brian Wilson will be broadcast
Dec. 9 on educational TV channel PBS. "Brian Wilson: Imagination" will

included will be live renditions of such classics as "California Girls" and
"Don't Worry Baby" as well as newer tunes "Your Imagination" and
"South American." Interspersed throughout the program will be brief
interviews with other musicians, among them Elvis Costello, the Barenaked
Ladies, and Jimmy Buffett, all of whom will discuss Wilson's influence on
                                         rock'n'roll.

In other Wilson news, a concert with the pop legend and country artist
Deana Carter will air Nov. 10 at 10:00pm Eastern Time, on The Nashville
