DAVID    DUCHOVNY                              

David was born in New York city on August 7, 1960. Duchovny didn't set out to become a thespian. He earned a master's degree in English literature at Princeton. He was a doctoral candidate at Yale studying modern authors such as Harold Bloom, John Hollander and Geoffrey Hartman. He didn't finish his doctorate but, at 27, started hanging out at the Yale drama school and performed in New York coffeehouse plays. His first paying job was a 1987 Lowenbrau TV commercial. Duchovny's celluloid career has been a slow burn. He appeared in Working Girl ('88), The Rapture ('91), Julia Has Two Lovers ('91), Chaplin ('92) Kalifornia ('93) Playing God ('97) He played a transvestite (Dennis/ Denise) on ABC's Twin Peaks in the early '90s and has long been the narrator for Showtime's Red Shoe Diaries.

But most recently he Co-stared with Gillian Anderson in X-Files: Fight The Future, the first feature film of the widely populated television show the X-files, which premiered in 1993, and is still going strong with it's 6th season to air in November it stars David, and Co-star Gillian Anderson, as Special agents with the FBI, for more on this you are invited to visit The Unofficial X-files page He has also guest starred on many TV shows, he and Gillian made a special guest appearance on the Simpson's as of course, Special Agents: Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, For X-files, he has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for best performance in a TV series in 1996, 1997, 1998, he was also nominated for a Emmy in 1996, 1997, and 1998, he won a Golden Globe in 1997 for lead actor in a Drama series.

David, and Téa Leoni were married last year on May 6th 1997, they are still married. Téa is the star of the NBC series The Naked Truth and played a reporter on the ('98) movie Deep Impact.
