Seal of the King of Ryukyu Kingdom (replica),
Granted in the 17th Century

Length 9.7cm x Width 10cm x Height 10cm. Weight 4.5kg
King Sho Shitsu was granted this seal by the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) after the fall
of China's Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). Before receiving this seal, the Ryukyus had returned the Seal of
the King that had been granted by the Ming Dynasty.

Made of gold plated silver, the seal has a camel-shaped grip, and is inscribed, "King of the Ryukyus"
in Han and Manchurian characters.
