Is this in the big consolidated mess hall? Was eating in there during a typhoon once and the roof started to come off at one corner. Sunday morning breakfasts were good. Cook would custom fry your fresh cold storage eggs any way you wanted. Saw a date stamp on an egg crate once that said Packed 1945.
