Homeschool A Child With A Disability?! If you want to learn more about homeschooling a child with a disability, if its helpful or harmful, look at this page.

Learning Disabilities This link will take you to a page with articles all about LD, teaching techniques and ways to create a great program to help your child learn.

ADD/ADHDLooking for ways to help your child with Attention Deficit/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder learn? The articles on this page will point you in the right direction.

Autism and Intellectual Impairment This category is rather broad, but often children with one of these disabilities has the other, so I decided to combine them into one page of articles. If you are looking for information on the best way to teach a child with autism and/or an intellectual impairment (also known by its not-quite-so-politically-correct name of mental retardation), take a look at the articles on this page.

Data Collection, Interpretation and Assessment Learn how to go about collecting data, interpret it and the way to modify your program to get better results. Although this can be dry reading, it is really critical to at least be familiar with this topic if you want to have concrete evidence to show what your child really knows how to do.  Also, you will find assessment (i.e. testing) information on this page.

Functional Behavioral Assessment People with disabilities often have behavior problems that get in the way of the learning process. This section will help you find out what your child is trying to tell you through his or her acting out and what you can do to help your child learn more appropriate ways to communicate his or her needs.

TransitionBaby's grown up, well almost? Find out how to help your teenager or young adult successfully step out into the world of being a grown-up.

Subject Specific I've combined all the subject specific articles, like teaching reading, math, etc. into this one page. If it gets too large, I'll eventually split them out into separate pages. I have cross-linked pertinent articles on specific subjects with the different disability pages (above). In other words: if I found an article on teaching a specific subject to a child with LD (for example), I would list that article on the LD page of articles as well as on this subject-specific page. So, what I've taken three lines to say is that you might want to check both pages just to be on the safe side.

Professional Publications Links to professional journals in child development, disabilities, behavioral research, learning and motivation, educational indices and medicine.
