Out to Sea

It didn't rain to please me,
But the sun shone in mocking glee,
The day that ship sailed out to sea.

On that ship I never strayed,
Yet it claimed my heart in a gaze,
When first I saw it in the bay.

Through the years of rolling seas,
That ship and Iwould dance and tease,
But waves stood in our way of ease.

Standing silent by the bay,
It was I who sank that fateful day
When my ship of love sailed away.
