A Plea
2-2-95

In the silence, your voice is there,
Telling me that you don't care.
Since we have been apart,
I feel you ripping at my heart.
Can you give it back?

Once you said my touch was nice,
Though I could never pay your price.
You found my only true fear,
And left me drowning in my tears.
Do you feel my pain?

You packed and went far away,
Leaving me to miss you more each day.
Your silence to me was nothing but a lie.
Now, without you, my only hope is to die.
Must you kill me so?

You have become my life,
Now, all alone, I live my strife.
Only if all others you spurn
Can my life take a new turn.
Won't you please love me?
