About Me
Trivia
For starters, I greatly enjoy many things English, especially the literature, movies and music. I also thrive on studying personalities. Learning of everyone's personality differences and appreciating them is one of my most treasured quirks.
I enjoy delving into family history, and history in general - especially medieval and ancient Greek and Roman history, along with mythology. The picture above center is the coat of arms belonging to my paternal grandmother's Welsh family. Her maiden name was Herbert. The motto, "Ung Je Serviray" means "One will I serve."
Did I mention reading? The classics are the best, and Tolkien is a master craftsman of words and ideas, as well as exquisite imagery. Many a night I spend some time writing short stories myself, most of which have a twist of fate somewhere in them.
Music, however, is what keeps me sane. I mostly listen to Electronic, Synthpop and 80s, but I like individual songs of Rock and Alternative too (very few of either, actually). Synthpop is definitely my overall favorite. One of my biggest regrets is not learning how to play an instrument.
As for wildlife, Cats (large and small) are among my favorite animals, and I am also deeply drawn to the ocean and its inhabitants, like dolphins and starfish. And for the other kind of "wild life" -- recreation -- tennis is my only sport. Baseball is OK to watch, because it has a more comfortable atmosphere in my opinion. A club outing now and then is fine with me, too, as long as they play good music (no Hip Hop, R&B, etc.) Now, how about a little bonus trivia?
