| I was on the Ambassador University campus, standing in a long line of students, facing the dining hall from the administration building. It looked a picturesque sunset, and the weather was calm and still. It was how I imagined the surroundings to be in the Odyssey when Odysseus travels on the river Styx.
The line moved quickly, and soon I was at the doors of the dining hall. Inside, it was very dark, but with a light glow so that I could see long tables lined horizontally in the room from wall to wall. On the tables were rows of candles, one for each of the students. They were of all shapes, colors, and sizes. Behind these tables stood "faculty members" dressed in long, black robes with hoods. You could only see their eyes glowing orange.
All students were directed to the tables where they were to get their candles. Soon, I came to the table where I was to pick up my candle. I took a small, dark, round candle. As we walked away, we were to look underneath our candle to see our destiny written. I heard wails of grief and shouts for joy all around me. As I turned my candle over to view my destiny, I found that it was blank.
