They were prisoners, like myself. Above them on the round stone walls, stood seven chained man-like beasts. They were very large and dirty, and hadn1t had their hair cut in what appeared decades. Across from the largest one in the center, stood a fat Queen, hidden behind an oriental dressing screen. I appealed to the Queen, pleading that the beast in the middle was the cause of my imprisonment.

I then lapsed into the story of how I got to where I was. The story I told went back to a certain time in school. I had been sent to a room to pick up some books. The room was bare and white-tiled ­ like a bathroom ­ but it only had two sinks, a lot of empty floor space, and the far wall had a row of very high windows.

Someone began throwing rocks in the window at me and I ducked, covering my head with the books. Two guys peered through and a chunky one with glasses said, "I know you're there!" And then he said that he would get me, yet. I then got truly frightened and ran for the door, which had a window with metal wire in-between panes of glass. It was locked, so I couldn't open it. The two guys at this time were climbing through the window after me, so I picked up the rocks they threw and broke the glass in the door to get out.

The scene shifted back to the arena and I still stood before all the peering eyes and told how I was badly hurt and how I then injured the guy in glasses in self-defense. The beast whom I accused of being that guy gave a loud moan and pointed at me, declaring me to be a liar. However, the Queen knew it was true because she made him show his scars and remembered that he was injured before. She knew that all the other beasts had the same thing done to them under her orders, except for him. She then ordered that he be unchained from his post and be taken away.
