CONVENTION NEWS - INTERNATIONAL AND ARKANSAS

***GFWC INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION WAS HELD AT ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA IN JUNE, 2001.  ARKANSAS IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE ALTHA MURPHY OF THE ALTRURIAN CLUB OF IMBODEN WON 2ND PLACE IN THE MEMBER SHORT STORY CATEGORY, NATIONWIDE!

The Century League of Morrilton won "Most Creative" in the all-club photo contest.

 Congratulations to our Golden Girls....

The 20th Century Club of Harrison celebrated their 100th year anniversary in 2001 and celebrates their 100th year of being federated in 2002.  They celebrated in the fall for a week with their community.  To honor their 100 years of being federated these women decided to take care of the needs of their cemeteries.  They hired a licensed Arborist to help them and will be working three days a week until all the work is done.

We hope your next 100 years will be great.

South Central Region Conference . . . . . . .
Our very own Arkansas GFWC club woman, Marianne Maynard presided over the South Central meeting in Scottsdale, AZ, in October 2001.  These Arkansas sisters enjoyed informative meetings and workshops, as well as the wonderful hospitality of the Arizona clubs.  (The men enjoyed their golf, too!)
