Anthony Hunn, Jr. Biography

Son of Dr. Anthony [Hunn Sr.] and Sarah Wise HUNN, born about 1809 in Mercer County, Kentucky.  Married Mary (Polly) FELAND, daughter of Thomas FELAND.  He resided near Danville, Kentucky where his son Francis Marion was born (in Lincoln County).  In 1844, he moved his family, Francis Marion being six years old at the time, to Butler, Bates County, Missouri, where the family lived until 1850 when they moved to Fannin County (Bonham), Texas where Francis Marion attended school.

After a few years the family returned to Missouri where Anthony died in 1858.  The family returned to Texas at about the close of the Civil War and settled on a farm about three miles northwest of McKinney, Collin County, Texas where his wife Mary (Polly) died in 1882.  Anthony, Jr., and Mary (Polly) FELAND HUNN were the parents of five children:  Francis Marion, Sarah Catherine (married Jack Mack, son of Esq.  W. R. H. Mack), James Hunn (never married), Lee Hunn (married Mrs. Countz, daughter of William Tucker of McKinney, Texas) and Nelly married Austin Hall of near McKinney.  Austin Hall and Nelly (Hunn) Hall's children were: Guy, Mary Hartman, Lucy Chaney, Hattie Lindley, Autie Moreland, Ida and Betty Sanford.  Hattie Lindley and Charlie Lindley's children were:  Erwin Lindley, Gertrude Lindley Curtsinger, W. A. Lindley, and Ruth Lindley Whisenant.  Ruth and Johnny Whisenant's children:  Ben, Bill, and David.
