This is the first WWW site devoted to Florencia Labat, a 29-year-old professional tennis player from Argentina. She is a left-handed baseliner who has won seven doubles titles on the WTA Tour and has been ranked as high as #26 in the world in singles. Florencia is a hard worker with a fluid, fun to watch style (she has been referred to as a "racquet artist"). She also happens to be, by all accounts, a very sweet person off the court.
"Flo" certainly does not get much attention from the mainstream tennis media (except in her own country, I imagine). Therefore I'm hoping this site will be a good source of information for people who would otherwise know nothing about her. At least this site is the only one of its kind!

Florencia will be playing in the Summer Olympics in Sydney this week. She meets late entrant Miriam Oremans in the first round and could wind up facing Monica Seles after that. Best of luck to her! Meanwhile, I'm still doing a woeful job maintaining this site, but the links section has just been overhauled. Pictures and match reports from Montreal and the U.S. Open to follow soon.
