"Bigg Phil"
Phillip Walton
“Backdraft” group member

Phillip has been rapping about the adventures of growing up in Chicago since the young age of 12.     Rapping and watching music videos was a daily routine for Tizone’s childhood friend. When they weren’t playing little league together they were kicking freestyles.
Although he has been compared to artist such as the phenomenally multitalented LL Cool J. and Will Smith. He also gives credit to Eric B & Rakin and MC Shan as major influences to his lyrical development.
“Real people can do that too.” The 25 year old said, commenting on writing about his and others life experiences as some of the other platinum selling artist have done in the past and are still doing today.
Bigg Phill, formerly of the group “Brothers working it out.”  has performed with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Craig Mack, D.O.C. and Ill and Al Scratch plus has graced the stage with the late Biggie and Eazy E. just to name a few.
He kept busy and focused writing new material when he took 93’- 96’ off and left to serve his country in the military. “It helped me mature as a man, as a person. The Industry will drive you crazy. You can kinda get away from problems,” he notes. To date, he has accumulated enough lyrics for 4 Solo Albums and has already recorded the vast.
Today he has hooked up with C.K.G. and Bullet also of Tizone’s Basstone Entertainment camp and formed the hot group Backdraft.

"Bullet"
Jermaine Dixon
(formerly known as " Mase")  "Backdraft” group member.
Started rapping at the age of 14.
Met Tizone through Mike Mayberry.

After winning $4000 in a talent contest at Intas, he got his chance to showcase his talents with other outstanding artist such as Father MC, MC Lyte, S W V, Kriss Kross, Escape and others.

Back home on Chicago’s southside where he grew up in the city’s Inglewood area, he worked with local area artist Twista, DA Smart, Krashman, and Rap-a-Lot recording artist Synpas and was featured on Da Man Records, Blues album "I like the way u work it.”

Past influences include KRS One, Native Tongue, Digable Planets, De la Soul, TCQ and Biz Markie. Today you can add Nas and the Roots to this  list of who’s who in the rap game.

His personal influence came from his environment, what he’s seen and what he’s heard. Surviving a life threatening experience was a turning point in his life. After being shot in the head and stomach he became more serious about doing something more positive. ”Streets ain't easy, be cautious,” words the 24 year old lives by. His lyrics are a way to inspire others and not just a voice crying to be heard.

“Backdraft” group member

As far as he can remember the 22 year old started rapping at around 11 or 12 years old after becoming influenced when he saw the music video “You Gots to Chill” by EPMD.

His other influences were NAS, Biggie, Outkast, D.J. Quik, Kurupt, Tupac, Jay Z., Jodeci, N.W.A., LL Cool J and BDP.

He had already been successful writing good poetry and rhymes by the time he reached the 7th grade. Once he entered high school he was in a group called 31 flavors. To compliment his hot lyrics he was branded with the name Fahrenheit.

He hooked up with Tizone in ’96 and immediately began working with him. After losing contact, the two later hooked back up in ’98, when he had gotten more focused with his writing and song structuring. “Because a lot of people don’t make songs, I do everything, I got an all around flow,” he quotes. He was then asked to join Tizone’s BassTone Entertainment camp and has been recording with them every since.

Since he’s been with the BassTone camp he joined the group Backdraft. As a member he’s learned to work on team projects and to use their influences to build on ideas he already had. Most recently the team rocked the crowd when they performed their hit “Big Kats” at Columbia College Chicago for the C.U.M.A. Showcase sponsored by Def Jam and BMG.

“All my rhymes come from life issues. That’s why people relate to me. Most of my writing is from real life experiences.” He ends.
