Bank of China Tower

Bank of China Tower
From the Clock Tower and Star Ferry pier you can see Hong Kong island. One of the most prominent buildings is The Bank of China Tower. The tower is designed by a Chinese-American architect and is 70-stories high.


Clock Tower

Clock Tower
The Clock Tower is standing near the Star Ferry Terminal and the Water Front promenade on Kowloon. The Tower is the only part left of the old railway station which was demolished in 1978. You can get to the Tower with the MTR, Mass Transit Railway and get out at Tsim Sha Tsui station.


Jumbo floating restaurant

On the other side of Hong Kong island you can find Aberdeen. You can get there with bus 7 or 70 starting from Exchange Square. In Aberdeen are free ferry boats to the floating restaurants and there is no obligation to eat something once you get there. In the Aberdeen harbor you see a lot of people living on sampans. Most of them never leave it to get on the land.


Man Mo temple

Inside the Man Mo temple on Hong Kong island you will find the statues of the two gods Man and Mo. Each time when people make an offer, they slam the drum and gong three times.


Peak Tram

Peak Tram
A ride with the Peak Tram is very nice. Try to go there early in the morning otherwise you may have to lineup for ours before you can go. On a clear day you have a nice view on Kowloon.


Ten Thousand Buddhas temple

To reach the temple you should be in good shape. You have to climb more then 400 steps. But when you get at the top you won't see 10,000 but 12,831 little statues of buddha. They are all different. To get to the temple you have to take the Kowloon Canton Railway.


Wong Tai Sin temple

During the Chinese New Year you almost can't visit the Wong Tai Sin temple. It is very crowded with people offering joss sticks. If you don't look out, it will set your hair on fire. The temple looks like a super market selling things to offer to the God Wong Tai Sin.

Ocean Park

Ocean Park
One of Ocean Park's dolphin shows. The park is a combination oceanarium-amusement park, on the south side of Hong Kong Island.


Star Ferry

Star Ferry
The Star Ferry is a must for all Hong Kong visitors. You can cross Victoria Harbor from Kowloon to Wan Chai or Exchange Square. On a good day, the trip is only 10 minutes and gives you a nice view on the cityscape on both sides of the harbor. The Star Ferry company was started in 1898. All boats have the word Star in their name.


Bus

Bus
Bus is one of the most convenience transport system in Hong Kong. It serves not only in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories but also runs on Lantau Island. The fares of bus is comparatively cheaper than other transport system. Also,there are air-conditioned bus and non air-conditioned bus running in Hong Kong to allow people with different wants to choose for travelling.
