Orcas & Seahorses

I have been wanting to make an Orca Amulet ever since seeing the one on The Mining Co. The only reason I didn't do it sooner is the pattern was for peyote stitch and my prefered stitch for amulet bags is tubeular brick. I decided to design my own pattern and came up with this one of a mother and baby Orcas. The back of the bag has a pair of Seahorses with tails intwined. This pattern came from The Mining Co. The only change I made to this design was to make one of the Seahorses a little more macho. The bag is done entirely with size 11 seed beads. The background is a bright turquoise with twilight blue trim. It is finished with very generous twisted fringe and a spiral rope neck strap. The neck piece is attached to the amulet with barrel clasps at each side so it may be removed and worn without the bag.
