On December 31, 2000 President Clinton signed the International Criminal Court Treaty (ICC).
This sovereignty destroying treaty will now have to be
sent to the Senate for ratification. President Clinton said that he would recommend to his successor not to submit the treaty for ratification until U.S. concerns were addressed. President elect Bush is in complete agreement as he too believes that the treaty needs to be worked on before ratification. The ICC erodes national sovereignty and no revised version should be accepted. |
