Savior One
"Gotta have house...music...all night long!" That was the first line of the 1986 song "Move Your Body" by Marshall Jefferson. That song is considered to be "The House Music Anthem" of Chicago. It was after hearing that song, Dj Savoir-Faire gained an interest in the vastly growing "House" scene of Chicago. He was inspired by the innovators of the house music sound, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, and Chip E among others. He then realized that behind the tables was where he wanted to experience the music and spread it for all others to enjoy. He took the "Dj Tools of the Trade" he was taught and enhanced them. He has parlayed his skill from the beginning's of a Bedroom Dj, to High School and College Party Dj, to Resident Dj on the club level, to the incorporation of his own entertainment production. His musical recipes consists of deep, disco, underground and vocal house, with Hip-Hop and R&B for added flavor. Recently, he has worked inconjunction with Chicago based promoters such as NewBirthUSA and Infinite Sounds. During these ventures, he performed at various venues while spinning alongside The Spin Doctors, and Dj Mike Love from Chicago Radio WGCI. In one memorable event, he performed in a concert for Hip-Hop artist, Slick Rick. Although not new to the "game", Dj Savoir-Faire is constantly learning different aspects of it. Currently, he has added remixing and producing to his resume' by providing Dj Jerome O with input on his EP's for Church Street Recordings (Classico Loco) and Farris Wheel Recordings (Cosmic Dust, The Phunky Sensations EP) Stop, look and listen for Dj Savoir-Faire. In the near future, the world will be his stage. "House...is it in you?"
