CHAD HUNT'S 1993 calypso green mustang lx coupe

Welcome to my homepage dedicated to the future buildup of my mustang sedan. I purchased the LX in 1999 from a guy in Indiana. The stang had already ran 6.90 in the 1/8 and 10.99 in the 1/4 mile on 175hp shot of Nitrous (or that is what I was told). The setup was great for street racing! It consisted of a stock block, GT-40 Y-303 heads, Cobra intake, 30# injectors, 190 in tank pump, 4:10 gears with a full spool, and the stock t5. The car got decent gas mileage with the 5-speed and ran great.  After owning the car for a summer, the t5 was starting to go down hill fast and the best time I got out of the car was 7.40 @ 93mph granny shifting it down the 1/8 mile. The t5 was in need of a change! I had BradCo Industries build me a race prepped C4 with a 5000 stall 8 inch converter, shifted by a B&M Prostick. I then installed a larger cam and a GT-40 intake. I wanted to run the NMRA Renegade class when it hit my home state of Kentucky at Beech Bend Raceway. The combo had a lot of problems. I could not get the car to start after it was warm. The idle was real choppy. The rear main seal was leaking and the long tube headers that I installed were leaking like a sieve. The car was not the beast I wanted it to be and I was having a hard time tuning it. I was frustrated and the car was not the setup I wanted, so I sold all the parts and set out to build the mustang that I had always desired, the reason I originally got the stang! I set out to build a turbocharged carbureted small block stang!

So the plans for this site is to show you a step by step process of building a nice street/strip mustang.  Show a little patience because it will be a slow process mainly due to $........
