Recipes to Savor
This recipe comes from my very precious friend Karie. It is quite possibly the best cake I have ever eaten, very light and refreshing. Thanks for sharing it with us Karie. You're awesome!
Lemonade Party Cake
1 pkg. Betty Crocker Super Moist Lemon cake mix
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 1/4 cup water
3 eggs
1 can (6 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tub fluffy white or lemon frosting or whipped cream (if frosting is used, warm in microwave on low heat to soften for easy drizzling.)
Lemon zest or flowers to decorate cake.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake cake as directed on package for bundt cake pan.
Cool 15 minutes.
Stir together lemonade concentrate and powdered sugar.
Poke top of warm cake with long-tined fork.
Drizzle lemonade mixture evenly over top of cake, cover and refrigerate 2 hours, or until chilled.
Drizzle frosting on cake.
Cover and chill overnight.
Decorate before serving with lemon zest and edible flowers.
