Years, Tears, and Fears

Time to forget, all those years
The passage of time, too many tears
Face to face, I shall conquer my fears

Years gone by, one day at a time
The hill was high, I had to climb
From time to time, I'd stumble a bit
I knew in my heart, I could do it

Tears gone by, one drop at a time
The hands of others, committing the crime
Too numerous to count, nor would I try
I had to tell, that life goodbye

Fears upon fears, I struggled through
Sometimes in a shell, I withdrew
Ambivalence was, the bigger part of me
Everything around, so hard to see
I will never forget, but try not to dwell
No longer ready, for deaths bell
I now have control, I am alive
The horrors of my past, I survived

This site is dedicated to promoting awareness of abuse.
There are many forms of abuse. Many of us have suffered
most or all of it. Usually when a child is abused, they grow
up to be abused. This is what they have learned and accept
as normal. We need to speak out and help put an
end to this cycle of violence.

STOP CHILD ABUSE NOW !!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you know a child that is in trouble, don't be afraid to get involved. Call one of your local agencies and report the crime. You may be saving that child's life. Wait too late, you may be attending
that child's funeral!
If you are a child in trouble, PLEASE tell someone. There is help for you.
Some of the following poetry deals with abuse.
