The Arkansas
Volkswagen Volksmeisters were incorporated as a non-profit organization in July
1998 to serve as a network for Volkswagen enthusiasts in Northwest Arkansas. We
became an affiliate of the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America in October
1998.
The Arkansas Volkswagen Volksmeisters
is a non-profit organization, run voluntarily by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.
We invite all persons interested in Volkswagens to join our
club. There are countless events that occur throughout the year which allow you
to meet enthusiasts with similar VW interests, and to provide the resources to
help you enjoy your Volkswagen to the fullest degree.
Membership in the Arkansas Volkswagen
Volksmeisters is $15.00 annually for an individual membership and $30.00 per
year for a joint membership with CO-applicant. For this, you'll receive 12
issues of our monthly newsletters. You'll also receive a wealth of
information on Volkswagens that you won't find anywhere else in Northwest
Arkansas!
Our
Club mission is simply to provide a forum for the communication and sharing of
knowledge, and the exchange of ideas, methodology, parts, and assistance among
interested members regarding all aspects of Volkswagens, and to promote
membership pride in owning, driving and collecting Volkswagens.
The Arkansas Volkswagen Volksmeisters meet monthly on the third Wednesday of the month. We are CO-sponsoring the Annual Volkswagen Rally in Eureka Springs. We participate in local activities such as: Springdale Christmas Parade, Feather Fest, Hot Times in the Ozarks, Bugs in the Lights, annual Devil’s Den Picnic, etc.
We
allow anyone to join our organization. Your Volkswagen doesn't have to
be a bone-stock original model, nor does it have to be a show-winning
Volkswagen. You don't have to own a Volkswagen to be a member! The majority of our
Members are simply in the Arkansas Volkswagen Volksmeisters because they love
the cars!
Members
receive a copy of the monthly newsletter with their annual membership in the
Arkansas Volkswagen Volksmeisters. This newsletter contains valuable
do-it-yourself fix up hints and coverage of area events. If you are interested
in selling extra parts, or searching for needed ones, buying a Volkswagen, or
parting with one, our classified section is for you. Oh, and members advertise
for free in the Arkansas Volksmeister classifieds. We also have an events
calendar to help you stay in touch with Volkswagen events worldwide. Volkswagen
businesses advertise in the Arkansas Volksmeister, and some offer discounts to
club members.
