To change your resolution settings

To change your resolution settings:

(you may want to print this out, so you can follow along as you do it)

1. Click the Windows "Start" button at the bottom left of your screen.

2. Point the cursor to "settings". You will see a menu pop up. Find "control panel" on that menu and click it.

3. A "control panel" window will open. Find "display" (it has a picture of a monitor above it) and double-click it. This will open up a "display properties" window.

4. Find the "settings" tab along the top, and click it. Along the right side, and towards the bottom, you will see the words "screen area" with the words "less" and "more" under that.

5. In between "less" and "more" is a line with a little pointer on it. Click on the line between the pointer and the word "more". This should move the pointer to the right and change the numbers below the line. Set the pointer so the numbers say "800 x 600". Then click "OK" at the bottom of the window. Your computer may ask you to restart.
