Even though born in Houston, Texas, Meredith grew up in Illinois and then moved to New York to study acting after she graduated high school. But before acting, she appeared on many hair products packaging and also on five Nancy Drew Series covers.

She made her TV debut in 1996 with a commercial for Tylenol Sinus. Her first acting gig was as a regular on the series, "Dangerous Minds."
