| Is
the ONLY way for salvation |
|
(John 14:6 NAB) Jesus said to him,
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me. |
| Sent
by God to live among mortal men |
|
(John 3:16 NAB) For God so loved the world that he gave his only
Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have
eternal life. |
| Jesus
Christ was born from a virgin |
|
(Matthew 1:23 NAB) "Behold, the
virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him
Emmanuel," which means "God is with us."
|
|
Died for
our sins so we would be saved by grace
|
|
(Romans 5:6
NAB) For Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed
time for the ungodly.
(Romans 5:7
NAB) Indeed, only with difficulty does one die for a just person, though
perhaps for a good person one might even find courage to die.
(Romans 5:8
NAB) But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners
Christ died for us.

|
While the
sinful state continues, God loathes the sinner, and the sinner loathes
God (Michael Henry Commentary)
|
|
| The
Bible is a sure guide to eternal life. The prophets and apostles did
not speak from themselves, but delivered what they received of God. It
is profitable for all purposes of the Christian life. It is of use to
all, for all need to be taught, corrected, and reproved. There is
something in the Scriptures suitable for every case. (Michael Henry Commentary) |
|
(2 Timothy 3:16 NAB) All scripture is
inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for
correction, and for training in righteousness,
|
| The
prophets, the apostles, the men whose books composed the Holy Bible
wrote it under the direct inspiration and influence of God. |
|
(2 Peter 1:21 NAB) for no prophecy ever
came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit
spoke under the influence of God. |
| There is only
one God, Presence, Ruler of all things who is of infinite goodness and
love. |
|
(1 Corinthians 8:5-6 NAB) Indeed, even
though there are so-called gods in heaven and on earth (there are, to be
sure, many "gods" and many "lords"),yet for us there
is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom
we exist. |
| To be saved
one cannot just do good works and expect to be able to reach heaven |
|
(Ephesians 2:8-9 NAB) For by grace you
have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of
God; it is not from works, so no one may boast. |
| Can only be
received on a personal level between you and Christ; NO ONE else can
give you salvation |
|
(Revelation 3:20 NAB) "
'"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and
opens the door, (then) I will enter his house and dine with him, and he
with me. |
| No matter who
you are or what you are, everyone has sinned and it is only through
Christ are we free from sin. |
|
(Romans 3:23 NAB) all have sinned and are deprived of the glory of
God.
|
| Through our
sin, mankind experiences death. |
|
(Romans 6:23 NAB) For the
wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
|
The baptism is the final act of obedience on part of
the believer that symbolizes in the crucifixation, burial and the risen
Saviour. It stands for the testimony of the believer ,in their death in
sin, burial of their old life and the resurrection of their new life in
Jesus Christ.
|
- We
were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order
that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the
Father, we too may live a new life.
- Romans 6:4
|
|
| Christ will
one day return to earth as it is ordained by God to bring his
believers to Heaven |
|
(Hebrews 9:27 NAB) Just as it is appointed that human
beings die once, and after this the judgment so also Christ, offered once
to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to take away
sin but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await him.
|
No one knows when Christ will return
|
(Matthew 24:42 NAB)Therefore, stay
awake! For you do not know on
which day your Lord will come. |
| (1
Thessalonians 5:2 NAB)For you yourselves know very well that the day
of the Lord will come like a thief at night. |
|
(Matthew 24:36 NAB)"But of that day
and hour no one knows, neither the
angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone |
|
All men will be judged
|
|
(2 Thessalonians 2:12 NAB)that
all who have not believed the truth but
have approved wrongdoing may be condemned. |
