It is a Commodore-64 program that will convert a C-64 graphic file to GIF format. The program supports Doodle!, Koala, compressed Doodle!, compressed Koala, RLE, and GeoPaint formats. If you are not sure of the format, select 8 (Examine) from the menu. You may select either sequential or interlaced GIF format; an 87a GIF will be created. The image will be displayed, and you may then press either "a" to abort, or "g" to convert to GIF format. I lied when I said that GeoPaint format is supported. Well, not really. A GeoPaint file must be converted before being sent using a terminal program (to a BBS, an information service, directly to another user, etc.). That is the form that a GeoPaint must be in, for this program to handle it. Also, a full GeoPaint file size is 640 X 720 pixels; the C-64 screen is 320 X 200. You select which record (640 horizontal X 16 vertical pixels) you want at the top of the screen. When the image is displayed, you can scroll the entire 640 pixels horizontally. You can convert only a 320 X 200 pixel area. -- Cameron Kaiser * cdkaiser.cris@com * powered by eight bits * operating on faith -- supporting the Commodore 64/128: http://www.armory.com/~spectre/cwi/ -- head moderator comp.binaries.cbm * cbm special forces unit $ea31 (tincsf) personal page http://calvin.ptloma.edu/~spectre/ * "when in doubt, take a pawn"
