Ayeka is the older sister of Sasami. While trying to find her lost brother Yosho, she found Ryoko the space pirate. She blamed Ryoko for the disapearance of her brother since it was him who set out to capture Ryoko. Like Ryoko she shares the same love for Tenchi and always argue when one of them trys to get closer to Tenchi. In my opinon I think she is stuck up and should not end up with Tenchi.

Ayeka is the same snobby self in the Universe but instead of coming to earth looking for her brother she responded a distress call from MIhoshi,a galaxy police officer who had crashed while in persuit of the demon space pirate Ryoko.
