We had a great Cruise!! It isn't just the name of a sleek new ship.  It's also the feeling you'll share when you sail aboard Carnival's newest Super Liner.  Debuting in January 2002, this maritime marvel matches innovative design with innovative itineraries. Carnival Pride is the only ship of any cruise line offering an exotic Western Caribbean itinerary from Port Canaveral on Florida's Space Coast. What's more, Carnival Pride lets you visit two ports rarely seen on a cruise itinerary-Belize City, Belize, an eco-lover's paradise and Progreso/ Merida, Mexico-an unspoiled gem only recently opened to cruise guests. From there, scoot on over to the nearby ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza for an invigorating dose of awesome Mexican history.  Or take in the ruins of Uxmal, considered by many to be the most beautiful in the Yucatan.

CLASS OF ITS OWN:  The only thing that rivals the Caribbean sights is the Carnival Pride, a gracious vessel that carries on Carnival's legacy of dynamic maritime design, delicious dining, exciting entertainment and "Fun Ship" vacations. The trim, white-hulled vessel forges an amalgam of Carnival's 29-year heritage of innovation.  Combining some of the most popular innovations of the Carnival fleet, Carnival Pride blends the bevy of balconied staterooms, domed pools and the multilevel Fitness center of Carnival's Destiny-class ships with the glittering showcase atrium of the Fantasy-class vessels.  Carnival Pride promises to deliver an exhilarating new experience, incorporating the amenities of the world's best resorts with the seafaring pleasures of ocean cruising. The ship is a masterpiece of elegance and speed. Carnival Pride, along with its sister vessel, Carnival Spirit, will be the fleetest in the fleet, capable of whisking you from one end of the azure-blue waters of the Caribbean to the other-all in the course of a single seven-day vacation. Relax as you stand at the rail, watching dramatic scenery glide before your eyes, and enjoy Carnival Pride's luxurious setting during lazy days and exhilarating nights at sea.

LIGHTS!  ACTION! Designer Joe Farcus has unleashed another dazzling and imaginative blueprint for fun, one that lets you feel the ocean breezes while enjoying the pampered amenities only a Carnival ship delivers.  And it all comes with larger staterooms and loads of balconies.  Eighty percent of the ship's staterooms and suites boast ocean views.  Of those, 80 percent have private balconies.  In two sizes, no less!  Classical icons of beauty festoon Carnival Pride, drawing inspiration from the art and artistry of the Italian Renaissance.  You may not be fluent in Italian, but Carnival will make on wish you were.  Step aboard the 963-foot vessel and find yourself in the middle of a majestic 11-deck-high atrium that's a ringer for a Florentine piazza, down to a four-deck high, Raphael-inspired mural bathed in the light of a ruby-red glass roof.  Hard to believe you're in the Caribbean.
Everywhere, designer Farcus focuses attention on details, capturing icons of beauty in all its forms for you to discover from stem to stern.  At the ship's bow, Butterflies nightclub virtually shimmers with the grace of nature s fluttering creatures.  At Mermaid's Grille on the Lido Deck, you can savor a setting that celebrates the sea with fountains, seashells and mermaids.  The ceiling shimmers like the blue-green waters of the Caribbean. Talk about artistic settings!  Farcus has recreated one of Vincent Van Gogh's famed paintings at the Starry Night club.  Bright stars set in a cobalt-blue sky seem to come alive just for you.  At the Ivory Bar, the decor Japanese as a pagoda, artfully expressed in temple arches, peonies and even bonsai.
The two-level Promenade features twin grand staircases that invite you to descend and cozy up in the Caf6.  And just relax, read or converse with old friends or new acquaintances in the Winter Garden, greenhouse-like space girdling the front of the ship reminiscent of those aboard classic liners of the past.  The ship even has a wedding chapel, for Cupid's sake

The Taj Mahal 0f Showrooms: For entertainment, eye-popping Vegas-style shows come with the territory on Carnival.  And on Carnival Pride, the territory is mind-boggling.  Imagine a showroom as opulent as the Taj Mahal.  For this tri-level marvel of artistry, Farcus has drawn from India's exotic architectural heritage.  It culminates in elephant capitals and minaret columns, not to mention tusks and curvy trunks that adorn the dynamic area. Carnival not only spiced up its showrooms, it also spiced up its menus.  Carnival Pride takes pride in serving a cornucopia of dishes including a lobster night on every cruise.  The main restaurant is named after the Normandie, the historic liner that many consider the most beautiful ship ever built.  Multitiered Normandie Restaurant evokes the elegance of the '30s. David's restaurant, a sophisticated, reservations-only supper club, sits atop the ship beneath the atrium's skylight.  A 12-foot-high replica of Michelangelo's masterpiece, David, holds court there. As if all this weren't enough, there's even more to make sure your Carnival cruise is the best you've ever had more than a dozen bars and lounges to lure you by night.  By day, hovering above deck space galore, a retractable sky dome-like extra sky-helps ensure that even inclement weather won't dampen your cruise.   Recline around the curvaceous pools, one of them graced by the classic beauty of a replica of the Winged Victory.  Oh, and don't forget the 72-foot spiral water slide.
