About Us

The Green County YMCA swim team is to serve any YMCA member under the age of 19 who wish to participate in a competitive swim program.  The program has several goals:

 
To have fun, make friends of all ages, and enjoy the rewards of being part of a team.
To foster good sportsmanship and respect for others that comes with teamwork and pride in the team.
To learn skills of competitive swimming, and gain self-confidence and a sense of achievement as improvement occurs.
To teach a sense of self-discipline and commitment necessary to accomplish individual and team goals.
To provide a sport which fosters good health through good excercise, and gives children the opportunity to learn a lifetime sport.
