Just a stupid stupid truckload of text

Okay, all of the columns are over. I have about six to make up. Prettyvoice was nice enough to submit something to talk about so we have a second guest columnist coming up pretty soon. Anyway, I'll try to get back on track, as I said I have. Didn't work out over break, but I'll be on the ball soon enough! Thanks!

Rantings of the Week
Weekly Column of Uh, Stuff

Umm, those December / January columns are due out after I finish working off my writer's block.

My weekly column on things...here you go for the week of October 17th - 23th, October 24th - 30th, October 31st - November 6th, November 7th - November 13th, November 14th - 20th, and November 21st - 27th:

  • #12: Waiting for Sloan Songs (Pt I)
  • #13: The Soundcheck (Pt II)
  • #14: Line Them Up, Knock Them Down (Pt III)
  • #15: All That Way (Pt IV)
  • #16: Finally - the Show (Pt V)
  • #17: The Show's Over, No One's Here (Pt VI)

The show, by the way, was November 5th. I'm just making up for the lack of columns. Anyway it's all done now, so yippee!

Click here for older columns. Hope you enjoy all of this... I usually would think this whole Webguy thing is a waste of space that'll never get visited, but why not just let people read...

    On the Big Screen
    Great Movies You Should See

Hey hey hey, if you ever rent or go see any of these films I watch (do you really if I just say so?), could you tell me if you do? E-mail me back if you ever watch any of these "recommendations."

Magnolia: (theatres) Tell me if you hate it or like it. I'm not sure if you're capable of loving a movie this long. The characters were great and a lot of it was great, but man, wasn't there a better way to get to the ending? On top of that, I had to check my watch a couple times. I like this movie, don't get me wrong... it just seemed to be a little underdevelopped just in the writing phases. Otherwise, I liked the stories it told... all 180,000 of them.

Quiz Show: (rental) Hadn't dug this film out in awhile, but we're watching it for screenwriting. Must say that the characters as the professor said, were very well developped and written. This week's flicks are all about character, yes... Anyway, ever wonder what that gawd-awful TwentyOne game show comes from? It comes from a corrupt 60s game show. And the story they have to tell is far better than Maury Povich as a... game show host?

    Places More Interesting Than Here

eBay: Who pays $202.50 for Rhodes Jam? You fools... my obsession with Sloan only goes so far.
Superstar in Stereo I'm sure you guys already go to this site a lot, but I thought I'd make a plug for the site here again just because Charlie, who must be a really sweet girl in real life, gave me a nice collection of Sloan stuff online just to look at and all that. So thanks very much for the stuff. This site is GREAT anyway. Updated more meaningfully than mine and full of stuff to look at and read.
BedrockComics.com: the place I'm working at right now. My page design too, very easy to update, but needs some new layout maybe. Always a nice site to look at. If you order anything (please do!!), tell 'em Al sent you.
