Summary: Can Iolaus save Hercules in time before he is killed by vengeful gods?

Author’s Note: This story takes place in an alternate universe where the fall of the Olympian Gods turn the ordinary mortals of Greece into full Gods. Hercules is the lone survivor of the massacre of the Olympian Gods. In this alt universe, even half Gods were all slaughtered. This story is a sequel to the Last Olympian.

CHAPTER 1

“Michael..we don’t have time..I need you to zap Hercules out of there..I don’t have enough power to do it alone..please..Hercules’ life and sanity depends on you..I am not going to allow those ruffians to break Herc’s spirit.. please..” Iolaus had pretended to go on a diplomatic trip to Egypt when in reality he had gone to the Light to convince Michael, the Archangel to rescue Hercules from this realm..

“Alright, Iolaus..your love for Hercules is truly admirable..I will zap Hercules to another realm..but in return you and Hercules must do me a favor..” Michael stops to see Iolaus’ reaction..

“Okay..okay..whatever..I’ll do whatever you say..even give up my godhood..just save Herc..please..he’s my best friend..Olympian blood or no Olympian blood he doesn’t deserve what they are doing to him..” Iolaus pleads..Tears fall down Iolaus’ face as he empathically feels his best friend’s emotions of terror and helplessness and embarrassment as he is chained to a wall completely naked..

“Michael, please zap Hercules now..his spirit is dying..I can feel it..Xena and Eve are besides themselves they feel so guilty for letting Hercules out of their sights…”

“Very well, Iolaus, I will zap Hercules now.” With a click of his fingers, Iolaus and Hercules find themselves in another realm in Alchemene’s house. Hercules is unconscious sleeping in Alchemene’s bed. Iolaus tends Hercules as he yells in his sleep.

Iolaus feels Hercules’ forehead and realizes that Hercules has a raging fever. Iolaus puts a cool cloth on Hercules’ head and whispers into Hercules’ ear “You’re safe now, Hercules..forever safe..we’re no longer in our old world..Michael has zapped us somewhere else entirely..please Hercules get well..I can’t stand to lose you now..”

Iolaus prepares several nasty tasting teas for Hercules to drink. Iolaus opens Hercules’ mouth and forces the nourishing fluids down Hercules’ throat. Hercules grimaces as the nasty tasting fluids go down his throat bringing down his fever. Iolaus stays constantly by Hercules side whispering nonsense words to Hercules who has gone into shock from the whole ordeal.

Iolaus watches Hercules’ body as it alternates between sweating out the heat from the fever or shivering from the chills brought upon by shock and abuse..Iolaus uses his godly healing powers to heal Hercules as much as he can but he finds that his powers are practically null and void in this new world..

“Herc, you’ve got to get well..I can’t heal you..you have to try to heal yourself..I know how much easier it  would be for you to give up..these last few years have not been easy for you..losing your half god hood..facing all that hatred from all the ex-mortals in our world just because you were born Son of Zeus..but Herc..I promise you..in this new world..Michael says you’ll be perfectly safe..there’s no one here to hunt you down..practically no Olympian Gods to worry about...so Michael tells me..you are my best friend and partner..please I can’t stand to lose you now..”

Hercules opens his eyes and as he focuses he sees Iolaus standing over him “Iolaus..is that really you? Where am I?”

Iolaus is so relieved to see Hercules’ fever broken and see Hercules awake that he gives Hercules a big bear hug forgetting his strength..”I’m so glad you’re alright..it was touch and go for a while there..”

Hercules could feel Iolaus’ godly strength choke the air out of his lungs “Iolaus..I’m glad I’m alright too..please let go..you’re choking me..I can’t breathe..”

“Oh sorry Herc..I forget my strength sometimes” as Iolaus gives Hercules a sheepish grin.

“Is it true what you told me that I’m safe?” Hercules asks..

“Yes, Herc..you’re safe..we’re in a totally different world..Michael zapped us here..” Iolaus reassures Hercules..

Hercules gives Iolaus a very relieved smile as he finds it hard to keep his eyes open “I owe you my life, Iolaus” Hercules closes his eyes and returns to sleep..

CHAPTER 2

“Herc..wake up..here drink this tea..you’ll feel so much better. Don’t worry..in this realm all the Olympian Gods are dead except Aries and Aphrodite..our advantage is nobody knows we’re here..that’ll keep you safe. Oh yeah I forgot to give you this.” Iolaus hands Hercules a golden amulet. Iolaus puts the amulet around Hercules’ neck.

“What is this amulet?” Hercules fingers the amulet around his neck and notices the expensive gold finish with Michael’s symbol on it. As Hercules touches the amulet, he can hear the amulet purr..the more he rubs the amulet the louder it purrs and the brighter the amulet glows.

“To tell you the truth I had to pay a price to get you to safety. We owe Michael a favor..it has something to do with that amulet. Michael wants you to wear that amulet..I don’t know why..I’m told the amulet will tell you what to do. It’s because of this favor that Michael chose this realm for you.” Iolaus explains enigmatically. “Listen, Herc you’re safe here..in this Hercules’ Mother’s house. I have to go back to our world to make sure none of the other Gods discover the vortex through which we traveled. You have Michael’s word that you will be safe here..no need to worry about anyone discovering here yet and hurting you..especially Stacius..okay Herc? You trust me right?”

“Yes, Iolaus I trust you. I trust you with my life.” Hercules gives Iolaus a big bear hug and then Iolaus disappears in a flash of light. Hercules shakes his head as he thinks I’ll never get used to Iolaus disappearing like that even after all these years. Hercules decides to go outside to garden when the amulet suddenly feels warm on his chest. Curious, Hercules looks at the amulet and he is surprised by what he sees there.

(From within the amulet, the amulet acts as a window)

“A creature with glowing-red eyes menaces a smaller man wearing a purple patched vest and leather pants..the smaller flaxen-haired man cringes away as the red-eyed creature nears the flinching blond man and in a fowl breath the red-eyed creature threatens:

“So, you are Iolaus..partner of Hercules..you are responsible for the death of Mavin and of all the druids..we condemn you to a life of misery..formerly Iolaus of Dahak..”

In his own defense, Iolaus cries defiantly “I didn’t kill those druids..that was Dahak..Dahak killed the druids..not me!”

The red-eyed creature loses its temper at the disrespectful blond man. He grabs Iolaus by the hair and forces Iolaus to his knees as Iolaus gasps in pain “You dare talk back to me..spawn of Dahak..you are lucky we are keeping you alive..”

“You can’t kill me..Hercules will find me..he will rescue me..” Iolaus gasps.

“Hercules will never rescue you..you see Iolaus..Hercules is my husband..” the red-eyed creature morphs into Morgan, the Druid of Justice. “You see, spawn of Dahak, Hercules will never find out that I am seeking my revenge on you..as long as Hercules remains ignorant..you will suffer..but know this..if you tell Hercules..your life will be one long Tartarus.” To prove her point, Morgan undresses Iolaus and sends a painful electric ball through Iolaus’ naked body. As the pulsating pain travels through Iolaus’ body, Iolaus’s reflex reaction is to curl into a fetal ball clenching his sides to thwart out or ride out the pain. Iolaus cries tears of pain as he tries vainly to use his Far Eastern medication techniques to block out the pain and to stay conscious. Iolaus knows the heavy price he would have to pay should he fall unconscious, so with every fiber of his being, Iolaus curls into a ball fighting to stay conscious.

Iolaus skin burns as the electric ball scorches his upper torso leaving Iolaus feeling sick and disoriented. Morgan laughs and even in her human form Iolaus cringes in fear as he sees the Morgan’s glowing red eyes. “Do not underestimate me..little man..when I tell you there is no escape..obey and you will live..disobey..and know the consequences.”

When Morgan dumps Iolaus in a cave. Iolaus looks around in fear clutching his naked body in a fetal ball and to his dismay he sees other red-eyed creatures eyeing him greedily as if he were the main course of their dinner. Iolaus thinks as long as I obey..I will be safe..no harm will come to me if I just submit and obey..no more defiance..I can do that..Iolaus curls up in a fetal ball and tears run down his fear-stricken face..as he drifts off into an unsettled sleep.

(The amulet closes the window as the amulet becomes dark)

Michael appears besides an astonished Hercules to explain the situation to him.

“You see, Hercules. I need your help. The Iolaus of this world is the Guardian of the Light..he serves the Light. He is being punished for something he did not do. The Hercules of this world is under a powerful love spell. So you see, you are the only one who can rescue this Iolaus.”

“But, Michael..wouldn’t it be better if you rescued Iolaus..or if you sought the help of my Iolaus who is a God..what good can I do?  I don’t understand.”

Michael smiles kindly at this frightened mortal Hercules “What you lack in physical strength, you make up for in emotional strength..you endured much torture and fear in your life Hercules..what Iolaus of this world is going to need if he is going to keep up his sanity is your emotional strength..you have to pull him through this..right now Iolaus is terrified..naked..vulnerable..his Hercules is not able to help him..that’s where you come in..be there for Iolaus..comfort him..tell him that there is light at the end of the dark tunnel..help him through his fears..use this amulet to communicate with him..all you have to do is rub this amulet on your chest and Iolaus will be able to hear and see you…let this amulet be the portal of communication…that is all I can do for now until your Iolaus returns from your world..”

“So you’re saying that when my Iolaus returns then he can rescue the Iolaus of this world and then I take it the love spell that Hercules of this world is under will be broken?”

“That is correct. Once your Iolaus rescues the Iolaus of this world..Morgan will return to normal and so will the Hercules of this world..the druids who want vengeance on Mavin’s death will be crushed. In the meantime, use this amulet to keep Iolaus’ hopes alive. Do not let those druids win..do not let them crush Iolaus’ spirit..”

Iolaus bolts awake as he feels the amulet on his chest feel warm..he also hears a voice coming from the amulet..curious Iolaus looks at the amulet on his chest that and to his surprise he sees Hercules inside his amulet. Iolaus stares slack jawed at the amulet because he can’t figure out how Hercules’ face and voice got inside his amulet.

“Iolaus..don’t be afraid..I know it’s a shock to hear your own amulet talking to you..oh yeah..I’m NOT the Hercules that you know..I come from another world..a parallel universe..YOUR Hercules has no idea what’s going on..I can only talk with you through this amulet..consider this amulet a lifeline to your sanity..you can trust me, Iolaus..I am not allied with the Druids..this is not a trick..this is not a trick of Dahak’s either..really I am who I say I am. I know how scared you are..believe me..I’ve been there..many times over.”

“How can you have any idea what I am going through..these druids have tortured me..chained me up naked..thrown fireballs at me while I was completely defenseless..accuse me of crimes I did not commit..now I’m in some dark dank cave in the middle of nowhere..I am alone and afraid..Herc..he’s abandoned me..well that’s how it feels at least..and I just feel like giggling..and there’s nothing funny about this situation..am I losing my mind?” Iolaus cries as he puts his hands through his dirty grimy curly blonde hair..

“In my world, I’ve also been tortured..naked..spread-eagled..in a dark dank cave ..defenseless…for me..my only crime is being the Last Olympian to survive the Twilight of the Gods..I am hated by all in my world just because the blood of an Olympian..Zeus..runs through my veins..I told them that I was only a HALF Olympian..in my case that’s what saved my  life whilst the other Olympians were killed..so I know how you feel..just hang in there Iolaus..you have to have hope..”

“Who are you?” Iolaus asks quietly into the amulet so that the other red-eyed creatures in the cave would not hear him.

“My name is Hercules. My Iolaus dropped me here in this world so that I could escape my enemies..so you see I am still in danger..so I know what it’s like to fear for my life..all the mortals in my world were transformed into Gods..when the Olympians were killed..all their godly powers were transferred to the mortals..the Olympians in our world were petty and cruel and only one man stood up to their cruelty..and that was me..”

“So, how did you survive the Twilight of your Gods if everyone hates you so much?” Iolaus asks.

“The Gods spared my life because I killed Zeus and saved Xena’s baby’s life. Xena and Eve are now Queens of the Gods for just like in this world..it was Xena who killed the Olympians..but it was Iolaus..MY Iolaus who pleaded to Xena to have my life spared..and so here I am..but I am a full mortal now..I happily gave all my powers to Iolaus..but I am still hunted even though I no longer have any Olympian blood left in me..I am hated simply because I am the Son of Zeus..and you?”

“Hercules and I went to Sumeria..after I died..I let Dahak trick me into letting him into my soul..Dahak used my body to kill all the Gods here on Eire..now these Gods want vengeance..they see me as the spawn of Dahak..they hate my guts..the only reason my life is spared is because the Eire people consider the Hercules of this world as some kind of icon..they call Hercules..their Chosen One..since I’m Herc’s best friend..well they keep me alive..so here I am.. I’m sorry to sound so whiny..I mean you are practically a stranger and here I am dumping my fears on you..it’s like I feel we have this connection..this bond..I had no idea that the amulet that my father gave me had such magical powers..Kewl..”

“The magic of this amulet belongs to Michael. It’s Michael who wants you to continue to have hope. Michael says that as soon as my Iolaus comes back from my world..we will rescue you..and once you are rescued the love spell that holds your Hercules will be broken..Michael wants me to use this amulet to keep you sane until you are rescued..so just hold tight..help is on the way..you must believe that.”

Iolaus holds the amulet on his chest and cradles it in his fetal ball “Please hurry..I don’t know how much more of this I can take..I’m so scared..it’s so cold in this cave..they won’t let me have any clothes or any blankets…You are my only hope..please..” Iolaus breaks down and cries. Alt Hercules knows he doesn’t have much time before Iolaus cracks up altogether. Alt Hercules thinks “hurry Iolaus..you are a god..I know you can hear me..please come back soon..I need you..the Iolaus of this world needs you..the world needs you..I need you..” Hercules whispers to no one in particular whilst he  curls into a fetal ball and prays for a miracle.

Alt. Iolaus hears Hercules’ prayer and comes through the vortex “Hercules, I’m here..are you alright?”

Alt Hercules rushes to Alt Iolaus and is very relieved to see him “The Iolaus of this world needs your help! We need to rescue the Iolaus and Hercules of this world from red-eyed creatures!..Come on..I’ll show you..”

“I  bet you that this is the favor I owe Michael for bringing you here from our world. Hercules, show me what I have to do.”

Alt Hercules rubs the amulet and an image of the long suffering Iolaus appears. The amulet opens a window and shows the Iolaus of this world being tortured by the druids and it also shows that the Hercules of this world has no idea what’s going on. Alt Iolaus watches the window as he focuses his godly energy on locating where the Iolaus of this world is being held prisoner.

Alt Iolaus looks into the glowing amulet tethered around Alt Hercules’ neck as Alt Iolaus closes his eyes to center himself on Iolaus and Hercules.

Meanwhile, the Hercules of this world decides to visit Iolaus. By this time, the red-eyed creatures has transported the naked and helpless Iolaus back to his forge and had him cleaned up and dressed in his ordinary purple vest and leather pants anticipating Hercules’ weekly visit to his best friend’s forge.

“Hello, Iolaus..what’s up..I haven’t seen you around Morgan’s..you know..the children and I miss you.” Hercules gives Iolaus a worried look. “Iolaus, you used to visit Deindrara and the children all the time..you used to tell my children stories..albeit exaggerated stories of our adventures together and the children loved it..now I have 5 children with Morgan..come tell them stories..you won’t believe how fast druid half-God children grow up..”

Iolaus regards Hercules with horror..Hercules has five children already with Morgan..dear god..if Morgan has red glowing eyes..I wonder if the children have the same red glowing eyes..how is it Hercules can be so blind?  Can’t Herc tell that Morgan and his children are possessed?”

Iolaus answers “Ah..sorry Herc..I guess I’ve been busy around the forge..didn’t have the time..” Iolaus hopes Herc falls for this lie. Morgan had warned Iolaus not to let Hercules know that his children are possessed nor does Morgan want Hercules to know that he is being tortured by the red-eyed creatures themselves. As long as he keeps the truth hidden, Iolaus is safe and Morgan has promised to protect him.

“Why don’t you come over tonight? I’ll tell Morgan to set an extra plate..I know how hard it is for you to turn down some good home cooking? See you there at dinnertime!” Hercules walks out the door whistling happily.

That night at the dinner table, Iolaus nervously looks at Hercules’ new family with Morgan. Hercules is the only one who looks normal. All the other members of the family..all 4 boys and one little girl all have red-colored eyes. Iolaus is so terrified that he barely touches his plate and hardly says a word.

“Iolaus are you sick? You have barely touched your food!” Hercules becomes worried.

“Ah..no Herc..I’m fine” Iolaus shovels some food into his mouth and feigns a vigorous appetite. “See I’m eating just like usual..”

Morgan breaks the silence and offers “Why don’t you tell the children stories about your adventures with Hercules?”

Iolaus looks up to smile at Morgan but sees several pairs of glowing red eyes emanating from each member of Hercules’ family..Iolaus shivers despite the warmth of the fireplace. Iolaus pulls his purple vest closer to his chest as the he feels chilled to the bone.

“Sure..Morgan..stories..yeah..I’ll tell stories..” Iolaus gathers the children in the foyer. Iolaus is extremely nervous as all the glowing red eyes are concentrated on him. Iolaus could feel the children read his mind as invisible voices echo in his mind  and mockingly taunt him with “So you’re Uncle Iolaus..Hercules says you’re such a big hero..then how come you let Dahak enter your soul..what kind of hero are you to let such an evil creature into your heart?”

Iolaus’ thoughts echo back timidly “I’m sorry about that Dahak stuff. Herc has forgiven me for all that. It was Herc’s idea that I come here..I would have stayed back at the forge…but Herc wanted me to come here..please don’t hurt me..I’m terrified enough as it is..I agree..I’m not a hero..I’ll tell a very short story and I’ll leave..okay?”

Iolaus can hear Morgan’s voice next in his mind “You tell a short story and leave..we don’t like having the spawn of Dahak contaminating the purity of our house..make it quick and short..start now..or I will have your head..”

Iolaus gulps convulsively in fear and starts his story “In Greece, Hercules is a big hero. There was once a Nemian lion terrorizing a village. The lion was eating everyone. Hercules arrived. He bashed the lion to bits using his Olympian strength he picked up the lion and threw the lion against a tree and the lion died instantly. Hercules was hailed a hero for saving the village. There..End of Story.”

Hercules looks mystified because that’s not what happened at all..for the first time, Hercules is worried about Iolaus..as he wonders why Iolaus told such a short story and left his contribution out of it..

“Actually, children..Iolaus is the hero..he distracted the lion..I was able to sneak up behind the lion and bash the lion with a stick..it was teamwork..Iolaus and I have always been a team..in truth..both Iolaus and I were hailed as heroes for saving the village…anyway that’s enough stories for tonight..I’ll talk with Uncle Iolaus.. goodnight..your mommy will tuck you all in tonight.”

“Goodnight father..”

“Goodnight children”

“Iolaus..I want to talk with you..what’s got into you? Why did you shorten the story? What’s going on?” Hercules asks perplexed.

“Iolaus what’s going on?”

“Nothing Herc..ah..just a mild headache..I’m not feeling well..I think I’ll turn in early too..back at my forge..bye Herc..” Iolaus bolts out of the house as if his butt was on fire.

Hercules scratches his head in puzzlement as he turns to Morgan to say “I have no idea what’s gotten into Iolaus!”

Morgan smiles seductively at her husband “Forget about Iolaus..come on to bed..my big hunky husband”

Caught in the love spell, Hercules forgets about the plight of his best friend and casts all his suspicions aside as he disrobes and goes to bed with his wife, Morgan.

Michael closes the window to Iolaus’ world and faces Alt. Iolaus and Alt Hercules.

“So now you understand the severity of the situation.” Michael announces.

Alt Iolaus closes his eyes and concentrates on finding the location of the Iolaus of this world. Alt Iolaus takes one big breath as he gathers his magical godlike strength to zap Iolaus to safety.

“I have a fix on Iolaus and I can zap him right here.”

Alt Iolaus closes his eyes. Alt Hercules watches as the Alt Iolaus’ aura begins to glow so brightly that Alt Hercules is temporarily blinded by the brightness.

Then in the space of a second, Iolaus appears before them looking befuddled and confused.

“Ah..Where am I? How did I get here?” Iolaus looks around the room and he instantly recognizes Alt Hercules from the amulet.

“Alt Hercules..the Hercules from the amulet..you’ve rescued me! Thank you so much!” Iolaus is so glad to be rid of the druids and to be finally out of Eire and back in Greece that he gives Alt Hercules a spontaneous bear hug (for those of you fans of Hercules show..picture the hug between Hercules and Iolaus when Iolaus first came back from the dead in the Hercules episode, Revelations).

Alt Hercules gives Iolaus a warm return hug..”I’m glad to see that you are safe Iolaus..but you are wrong it’s not me you should thank..it’s Alt Iolaus..so let me make the introductions..Iolaus..meet Alt Iolaus..”

Iolaus gives Alt Iolaus a double take “Wow, you look exactly like me..same hair..same eyes..same voice..but you have this godly aura..wow so this is how I would look as a full God..Kewl!”

Next Alt Iolaus concentrates again and this time he zaps Hercules to Greece. An equally amazed Hercules looks around just as befuddled and confused as Iolaus was. He looks around the room and recognizes that he is no longer in bed with his wife, Morgan and that he is in fact at his mother’s house. “What’s going on?” Hercules also does a double-take as he sees Alt Hercules smiling at him. “Hello Hercules, I am Alt Hercules, this is my best friend, Alt Iolaus..we’ve come from another world to rescue you from the love spell of the druids..”

Hercules looks completely mystified “Me? Need rescue? Love spell of the Druids? What are you talking about?”

Alt Hercules directs Hercules’ attention to the amulet and shows Hercules through the amulet how his Iolaus had been tortured by red-eyed creatures intent on seeking vengeance against the death of their leader, Mavin. Hercules watches in horror as Iolaus is subjected to beatings and threats..his heart is torn as he sees how frightened Iolaus has been in Eire.

Hercules looks at a shame-faced Iolaus “Iolaus..why didn’t you tell me that Morgan and the children were possessed?”

“Herc..I couldn’t..those red-eyed creatures threatened me..I was afraid..they promised me I would be safe if I didn’t tell..I’m so ashamed..they blamed me for killing Mavin..they called me the spawn of Dahak..”

“Iolaus, look at me” Hercules tilts Iolaus’ head up so that Iolaus’ cerulean eyes are level with Hercules’ azure eyes “I’ve forgiven you for Dahak..it was Dahak who killed Mavin..Not you..I never blamed you..you never betrayed our friendship..I trust you with my life..remember Iolaus..back to back heroes..I love you with all my heart..it’s me that needs forgiving..Forgive me for not coming to your rescue..and for not saving you from those red-eyed creatures..I’m sorry..Iolaus..”

“Ah Herc..it’s not your fault..you were under a spell..” Hercules and Iolaus give each other a hug as Hercules whispers into Iolaus’ ear “I’m so glad you’re safe..thank you for forgiving me..I don’t deserve it..”

EPILOGUE

“So, I helped Hercules in all his exploits children..for example there was this time when Herc and I had to kill an 8-headed hydra..”

“Wow..an 8 headed hydra..oooh..” yells the youngest child as her azure eyes so identical to Hercules’ remains wide-eyed in wonder.

“Ah come on Ilea..let Uncle Iolaus finish the story..so Uncle Iolaus what happened next?” asks Clonus and Aeson at the same time..for Clonus and Aeson are identical twins who often talk at the same time.

“Well, I distracted the monster..out front..I would run in front of the hydra..and then your father would sneak up behind the hydra to bash their heads together..then Herc would bash the heads together and the I would cut off the hydra’s heads with my swords..then Herc would stab the hydra in all its vital organ in its back and then I would burn the hydra’s head before they grew back..teamwork..Herc and I..teamwork..I watch Herc’s back..he watches mine. That’s how it’s always been.” Iolaus finishes the story and sees Hercules nodding in approval.

Alt Iolaus and Alt Hercules have a conversation with Hercules.

“ I want to thank you both for saving my family and getting rid of the evil spirits that were possessing my family..now everything is back to normal..how can I ever repay you?” Hercules asks.

Alt Iolaus gives Hercules a serious look..

“Let my Hercules stay in this world. Watch over him for me. That’s all I ask. I can’t stay here..I have to make sure that the evil Gods in my world never finds Alt.Hercules here..so I have to go back to my world to protect Alt Hercules..and protect the entrance to this world from the evil Gods of my world..that’s how I’m going to watch my Hercules’ back..his life is still in danger..”

“Don’t worry..Iolaus and I will watch Alt Hercules’ back for you here..we both owe you so much..Alt Hercules can stay with me..and he can travel with us too..so we can always keep an eye on him for you..” Hercules gives Alt Iolaus a warrior handshake.

Alt Iolaus turns to Alt Hercules to say his final goodbyes “Hercules, you must know that you’ll be safe here. This realm will be your new home. I have to go back to prevent Stacius from finding the vortex to get to this realm. I love you Hercules..if you ever need me..all you have to do is call for me..I’m a God now so I have super hearing..” With tears in his eyes, Alt Iolaus gives Alt Hercules a bear hug and then disappears in a silver sparkle of light.

In a tear-filled sad voice Alt. Hercules watches Alt.Iolaus disappear and remarks “In all the years Alt. Iolaus has been a God, I’ve never quite gotten used to him disappearing like that.” Alt Hercules wipes his tears with his hands as he knows he will miss Alt Iolaus sorely.

“Come on..Alt. Hercules.you can stay with my family..we will make you feel welcome and safe..let’s go listen to Iolaus’ exaggerated stories..it really is entertaining and will make you less homesick..” Hercules claps his big hand on Alt Hercules’ shoulder..as they walk towards Iolaus and the children..

“The dragon was higher than the tallest Titan..I had this magic sword..the moment that sword entered the dragon’s belly..it fell over …on top of Hercules..What a thud!”..Iolaus gestures with his hands as he continues with the story.

Alt.Hercules whispers to Hercules “I think I’m going to like this world.”

Hercules whispers to Alt.Hercules “I know you’re going to love this world..I want you to meet Jester..he’s an Iolaus from yet another world..he can tell you all about how to adapt to this world…just know this Alt.Hercules..you have many friends here in this world..you need never be alone again..”

Alt Hercules grins and says “You’re right..Hercules..I know I’m going to love this world..”

Hercules responds “That’s the spirit..”
