At the time of Ranjit Singh, India was an average test playing cricket team. The cricket was started by the Britishers at the time they were ruling India.

Since that time to now, India has made pretty good progress dominating many teams. The happiest moment for India was when it won the '83 WORLD CUP, under the captainship of Kapil Dev. It was a great pleasure for India.
