This fundraiser runs until Saturday, April 28.
May 12, Saco Girls Little League Softball will hold a bottle drive.
Teams will gather at the Concession Stand at the SGLL field behind the Saco Middle School for instructions and then with parent volunteers will be sent out into the community to collect bottles and cans. This is a fun way to raise a lot of money in one day. Everyone is expected to help in this event.
The league has an account at Madden's Redemption Center on North St. in Saco. Please consider donating your bottles and cans to the league this season. Every bit helps.
June 2, all of the teams will gather at the SGLL field for instructions regarding Tag Day. This is the only fundraiser that the girls participate in in their uniforms. Small groups of players will be assigned to parent volunteers and will be sent into the community to seek cash donations from Saco residents.
Because of the great expense in running the Saco Girls Little League Softball program it is essential that all members of this organization and their families participate when asked. Without these fund raisers each season registration fees would likely top $100 per player to cover costs. Please help us keep our registration costs down and lend a hand when we ask. You'll get a lot more out of it than you might think.
