     1.  Clara Mae Knox, born July 31, 1926 in Ironton, Ohio; died August 25, 1994 in Indilantic,Brevard County, Florida.  She was the daughter of 2. James Russell Knox and 3. Emma Lou Heaberlin.  She married (1) Ira Ward Runyan May 12, 1946 in Ironton, Ohio.  He was born April 10, 1921 in Catlettsburg, Boyd County, Kentucky, and died January 13, 2001 in Palm Bay, Brevard County, Florida.  He was the son of John Ransom Runyon and Monnie Hall.

Notes for Ira Ward Runyan:
Ira Ward Runyan was only five years of age when his mother Monnie Hall died. He along with his brother and sister were raised on a farm owned by his grandmother, Columbia (Hatfield) Runyon.

During the late 1930's he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps building roads in Idaho.

When World War II came about, he became a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was trained in the Southwest United States and Florida in radar, and was eventually stationed in England.

After the war, he operated with his father ( John Ransom Runyon ) a watch repair business in Russell Kentucky. In 1946 he married Clara May Knox, and they moved to Melbourne, Florida in January, 1952.
He worked for RCA in radar maintenance for the Eastern Test Range until the latter part of 1969, when NASA took over RCA's contract. When he first moved to Florida he collected watches needing repair from RCA employees and employees of Patrick Air Force Base, repaired them at home at night, and used the profits of his repair business to purchase building supplies to build his house.

In the early 1970's he went to work for Harris Semiconductor in Palm Bay, Florida and remained with that company until he retired.

     2.  James Russell Knox, born March 18, 1902 in Ironton, Ohio; died February 06, 1987 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  He was the son of 4. James Edward Knox and 5. Georgia Stratton.  He married 3. Emma Lou Heaberlin.
     3.  Emma Lou Heaberlin, born December 09, 1903; died March 31, 1959 in Ironton, Ohio.  She was the daughter of 6. John L. Herberlin and 7. Emma Willis.

Notes for James Russell Knox:
Russel Knox was as a young man, a drummer who played in a band on a riverboat on the Ohio River. In later years he was a molder and made cores for molds at factories.

In the 1920's he lived in Ironton, Ohio and after his divorce from his first wife, he moved to the Mt. Vernon, Ohio area.
