God Bless America

I Will Always Wave!"

I have been carried through many horrific battles. I have been mirrored
through many dying eyes. I have been torn, tattered and burned, And I have
kissed many far-off skies.

My colors will never be taken away For I was made - every stitch with love.
My stars and stripes will always remain An inspiration to those who see me
flying above.

No man can bar me from the minds of prisoners. No court can remove me from
the heart of freedom's vast call. No other banner will ever replace me. No
other nation will ever possess me, no matter what befalls.

For I belong to the People of these United States of America. I have flown
over this Nation for centuries as I've waved free and tall. Every man, woman,
girl and boy can salute me... and be proud. For I've defended you one and
all.

I am the flag that will always stand for freedom. I am the cloth sewn by
blessed hands. I am the colors that other nations fear, yet depend on. I am
the American Flag, and I will protect my sovereign lands.

America!! America!!

We had just arrived on the border of Iraq's desert land.
Dust and blowing winds surrounded our long military band.
I wondered how anyone could survive in such a place
But scattered along were the poor waving hands with smiles on their face.

We stopped to rest in this barren place.
We had not slept in three days and the sandy dust coated us from foot to face.
It was everywhere, we could not escape this deserts windy dust.
It covered us and our tanks with the color of orange rust.

We finally we able to take cat naps in shifts.
Our hopes were to escape the dusty rifts.
I closed my eyes and covered my head.
I dreamed for a moment I was at home in my bed.

When I awoke we were rumbling along.
Some of the marines were singing a song.
At last we reached a border town.
We were greeted by young people jumping up and down.

I reached in my ration kit and took out a chocolate bar.
I walked over and handed it to a young boy standing beside the remains of an
Iraqi car.
His eyes fixed upon me and he reached out his thin hand.
I was but a stranger in his homeland.

He opened the wrapping and took a small bite.
His eyes lit up like a star in the night.
He pointed to the heavens his finger aimed to the sky.
AMERICA! AMERICA! This was his reply.

I am a soldier in the United States Marine Corps.
I am here to fight in this war.
I now have the heart to win this war in this ungodly place
Because I saw it today in a little Iraqi boy's face.

On A Mission For The Lord

Ode to the American Soldiers

I was walking in New York one sunny day.
Folks were going about their merry way.
I was just happy, enjoying my life.
I felt good about myself, my job and my wife.
My hands in my pockets were jingling change.
Would New York ever again be the same?
My thoughts wandered from here to there.
I stumbled into a beggar with unkempt hair.
Hey watch it, I said with superior flair.
He turned and looked me dead in the eye.
Son, watch out because Charlie is close by!
Are you drunk man, get out of my way!
His eyes were glazed but he had this to say.
I've paid my dues in blood, sweat and tears.
And all I have is what you see right here!
I stammered because I could plainly see.
He was a veteran who fought for you and me!
So don't judge a man by just what you see.
This man was STILL fighting for OUR LIBERTY!

Standing Tall

I am an American and I stand tall.
You can see me inside any concert hall.
I am the one yelling at children's baseball games.
I am the one who still for freedom proclaims.

You can see me eating at the hot dog stands.
You will see me salute to the Air Force bands.
I am the one who cries for the aborted babies dear.
I am the mother who has shed many a tear.

I am the grandmother who gives to the poor.
I am the scientist who searches for a cure.
I am the soldier who fights for freedom for all.
I am the Chaplain who makes the heartbreaking call.

I am the doctor who stand by the sick person's bed.
I am the hungry child who's stomach has not been fed.
I am the Navy sailor who sails on ships to war.
I am the young man who enlists in the United States Marine Corps.

I am the fireman who holds a burned baby in his arms.
I am the President who sounds the nations alarms.
I am the bugle who sounds the Army's lonely notes of taps.
I was the child in the twin towers when it collapsed.

I am the man who penned the Declaration of Independence.
I am the friend who gives his brother another chance.
I am the flag that waves over America still.
I was one of the men at battle of Bunker Hill.

I am the woman who's hands stitched the flags white stars.
I am the man whose fingers strum on the wooden guitars.
I am the singer who entertains our American Troops.
I am the hunter who quietly shoots.

I am an American sailing on freedoms seas.
I am an American praying freely on bended knee.
I am an American in submarines under the sea.
I am an American and I stand for Sweet Liberty.

Yes I am an American standing tall.
My ancestor's pictures are hanging on museum walls.
I am an American and in God I trust no matter what befalls.
I am an American and I proudly stand tall.

Always and Forever

In the still of the night as darkness surrounds me
I picture you holding me, your arms so strong.
How can I ever tell you the years I've loved you?
It seems like an eternity I have for you longed.

Sleep with me on my pillow and let me feel you.
Let me kiss your sweet lips and tell you I'll always be here.
Let me breathe upon your ear, whispering love so sincere.
Though time has taken you away now beside me you are near.

Taste as see that I am still the same.
Whisper my name in your sleep and then say I love you over again.
Watch over me as I drift into sleep, your arms locked around me.
Kiss me every now and then.

I loved you when you were shy and bashful too.
Oh how I longed for you like rushing water from the streams.
Our paths crossed then you were gone from me forever it seems
Alas, I now have you still captured in my dreams.

Always and forever you are mine.
Always and forever you are like the creeping vine.
Always and forever I will love you.
Always and forever until the end of time.

America's Prayer

I am an American and I am a Christian still standing for God.
It is not my desire to see His matchless name trampled in the sod.
This nation is the greatest nation of the face of the earth.
God blessed it from the day He gave it birth.

Nations have fought us with their arrows and weapons of war.
We have with God triumphed score after score.
This is why our nation is strong, feared, mighty and great.
Now from heaven God sits, watches and patiently waits.

Will the nation He has graciously blessed forget His name?
Has America forgotten the very reason Jesus came?
Will America give in and let God's name too be set aflame?
I plead with Christians to bow before God and bless His Holy name.

God has honored this nation with His power and with His might.
He has scattered our enemies from left to right.
He has watched from the heavens as soldier after soldier's soul proudly went
home.
He has inscribed their names in His Book of Life sealed in gold in Heaven's
Whispering Dome.

As our nation once more is called into war our freedom to defend.
God please once again keep our soldiers safe until the bitter end.
Protect our purple mountains still majestically standing free.
Watch over our amber waves of grain sown so preciously.

Remember our Godly patriot dreams undimmed by human tears
Remember this nation has stood for You, who still sees beyond the years.
God remember our heroes who loved our nation more than their life.
God shed your grace upon this nation, every child, man and wife.

Who's side are we on and which God do we now serve?
Evil men still destroy precious lives You give not willing to preserve.
Count us God and see how many Christians still worship thee.
Lead, guide and protect our nation from sea to shining sea!

Let our flag still wave for freedom and its colors never fade.
Confound our enemies and turn back every rocket and grenade.
God bless America till souls wax fair as earth and air.
Grant it Lord, for this is America's prayer.

I Am The American Eagle

I am called the Bald Eagle, the American Emblem yesterday and today.
The United States of America chose me on June 20, 1782.
I only exist on this continent standing majestic as the apex of the sun's brightest and glorious ray.
I have long life and my strength is greater than any other this is true.

My eyes are sharper and on guard at the break of every day.
I only live in America, this is my home and for it I with raucous cries respond.
I live on the tops of lofty mountains amid the solitary grandeur of nature's way.
I have unlimited freedom whether with strong pinions I sweep into the valleys below
Or upward into the boundless spaces beyond.

The noise of battle awakes me from my sleepy heights above the valleys below.
Strong and powerful in might I fly full of boundless spirit to freedoms call.
My face can be seen in America with outspread wings but I am majestic from head to toe.
I have defended my nation for many years and I will continue to fight for freedom for one and for all.

I can be seen sitting high above the amber waves of grain.
My eyes recall the pilgrims feet making their way across vast wilderness.
I can be seen winging my way around the purple mountains and high above the fruited plains.
I still recall the patriots dreams undimmed by human tears and years of undue stress.

I sit upon the lofty mountains watching and willing to fight for the free.
After two hundred years I still bow to my Creator and ask Him to bless America
the home of the free and the brave.
Many nations hate me, my country and my people with liberty.
Yet look at those who have opposed us for they are buried in seas of graves.

I Am The American Eagle and I still fly for the brave and the free.
I'll wing my stay in a glorious and majestic way above the enameled plains.
America! America! God shed His grace on thee.
Till our soldiers blood runs with victory and freedom forever reigns.

America! America! God shed His grace on thee
And as does the American Eagle cover us with Your Mighty Wings.
Let all nations on earth see our Godly and free integrity.
America the Beautiful still with matchless freedom rings;
One nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all!!

A Soldiers Prayer

Lord, I don't know what I'm doing over in Iraq and now in this wicked war.
When I close my eyes I still see America and me sitting on some peaceful
shore.
My heart is racing inside of me for I don't know what lies ahead.
Lord I know You are watching as our leaders plan this mission in markers of
red.

I see my wedding band on my left hand.
Lord keep me safe so I can go home walking and not carried on a makeshift bed.
I have little children that are waiting for me and You know I miss them so.
I am an American and my duty to my country is a MUST; I know You know!

I got Your Word in my pocket close to my chest.
Lord my hands are shaking but I'll do my best
To show America that I'm a soldier and I still salute the red, white and blue.
It goes without saying Lord, You know my soul rests safely with You.

This desert sand is blowing and we can't see our enemy.
Promise me Lord You will from heaven declare this war a victory.
Help me to be brave even under enemy fire
But even in this nation let the people see peace and love are America's
heart's desire.

Keep my rifle clean from the sand that sweeps through this place.
Let my eyes be sharp like that on the American eagle's face.
Let my footsteps carry me all the way back home
For Lord, I can't go through this war all alone.

Make my hands steady and this rifle, well give me the courage to fire it.
Don't let me hesitate one second because my buddy could take a hit.
Walk before us and clear the air so we can clearly see.
Surround us with Your angels and let the enemy their flaming swords see.

Well Lord! I guess it is time for me now to go.
The troops are moving on the ground and fighter-planes are sweeping low.
I've got my Bible, my rifle, my helmet and my pocket comb.
When this war in Iraq is over let our feet once more America's purple
mountains roam.
