USHRA MONSTER JAM
SUMMER HEAT

HUNTSVILLE, AL
AUGUST 30, 2003

The USHRA Monster Jam came to Huntsville, AL for the very first time during the August 29-30 weekend.  The Summer Heat series is a warm weather version of the Thunder Nationals format including wheelie, donut, freestyle, and side-by-side racing competition.   There was a good crowd at the Von Braun Civic Center, even though it was Labor Day weekend.  The fans came out to see their favorite monsters going head to head.

THE MONSTERS

Randy Brown was in the seat for Digger at the Huntsville show.  Randy is a glove fit in the talented stable of drivers working for Grave Digger Racing.  Randy put the Chevy Panel Truck monster through its paces.

Hunt0333.jpg (24788 bytes) Carl Van Horn is one of the young talents in the sport.  He is awesome to watch!  Carl drove Randy Brown's old truck, the Pure Adrenaline Ford.
Jim Jack brought his Chevy Reptoid to town to do battle.  Jim is still one of the most exciting drivers on the tour.  He's got a great truck and a great team.

Last, but not least, John Seasock was driving the familiar Sudden Impact Ford.  John's truck took on a lot of damage during the weekend, but he didn't let it stop him from giving the fans a great show.
