Country Western dancing
reflects the heritage and culture of the cowboys and early settlers. Its roots are in the
old world traditional dances such as polka and schottische. Country Western dancing
is not a fad, but a tradition! Modern Country Western dances are new forms of traditional dances. The Two Step and Waltz are very popular with smooth country styling. Swing has returned to a country beat and is booming everywhere! Line dances give everyone of all ages a chance to dance and no partner is required. They can be short and simple, or long and complex, but always fun! Circle or round dances can be danced alone, with a partner or in a group. You may spice them up with fancy turns or whatever you desire. The tremendous popularity of Country Music has brought back real dancing. The music and dances are not new, they are as old as the West itself... |
