Dear CH4
Please put PO5 back on- I like the plucking of violin
strings every Wednesday evening. And I seek to find the
reason for why our fab series is not to be shown. For
heavens sake it's taught me about relationships and
puberty- dagnamme!! I need more- educate me please!!

oh jeez,
the rights for the repeats of P of 5 were on sale in the
u.s. last year and one of their cable stations played
them all from the pilot episode, mon - fri!!!
why can't CH4 even be bothered to buy the latest season
is beyond me. talk about being totally ignorant :-P
mel and sue should be banned from tv. who watches that
trash? i have to change the channel even when the trailer
comes on for their sh*te!
PaRty Of FiVe?- ER has
fans too, but you'd never take that off the air!!!!!!

My only question is:
Why bother airing a show for 5 years and then be
indecicive about putting the next series back on air? It
is very likely that series 5 will be the last series as I
think that is how long the actors/acteresses are
contracted to making more episodes of Party of 5. Why did
you decide to air the show in the first place if you
weren't planning to finish it. There are many avid
followers who watched the series religiously when it was
on, just like shows such as ER (which is always repeated
and contracted to another series). There may not be as
many fans of Party of 5 than of ER but it's fan base has
grown immensely through Britain through the past 5 years.
What you do not seen to understand is that may people
'LIVE' for watching shows such as ER and FRIENDS and
these people needn't worry because there is always at
least one series of a show on at once to keep the viewers
happy and watching chanel 4. But people who wactch Party
of Five are happy to make sacrafices by sticking to the
weekly episodes for a season( lasting approximately half
a year) and then waiting on the edge of our seats for the
next season. Us fans of the highly acclaimed show( which
has won many awards in the States) do not necessarily
want repeats, all we want is the right to let the show go
out on a good note and with the recognition it deserves.
Many issues have been covered in the show including
alcoholism, death and most importantly spreading the
awareness of cancer. I personally know many people who
have benefitted and have been able to identify with the
characterisation in show and have learnt a lot from the
awareness and issues shown.
On a final note I would like you all to consider how
taking this show off the air (in its probable last
series) would reflect badly on channel 4, showing that
they will not be able to finance it; but they are able to
finance repeats of shows such as ROSEANNE- (I would be
very interested to see the viewing figures for ROSEANNE
considering I know of no one who watches it and it is on
at peak time). I hope you will consider carefully my
reasons for keeping the show on the air as currently
channel 4 the most watched channel in my household as
well as many of my friends; if the decision to air the
last series of Party of Five fails to be met, you will
lose my loyalty to the channel and also many of my
friends' too- word of mouth is a powerful thing!
Hope to see news posted soon on the subject.

what??????
that is absolutely unbelievable.
channel4 i thought you were good.
let us examine the facts.
dc - delayed.
nba - taken off the air.
party of five - taken off the air.
sex in the city - still on the air. that pile of rubbish.
whoever is making decisions in channel4 needs to get a
grip on reality and soon or you will lose your viewers in
a very rapid stream.
disgusting

programming at channel 4 are out of touch.

I agree. I can't
beleive they have dropped the show and as for late lunch,
it has become unwatchable for me - the boring chat,
intentionaly crap jokes, taking the p*ss out of each
other, crap ex-soap star guests week after week. Light
Lunch started out as a genuinely entertaining lunchtime
show but since it has moved to primetime it has become
extremely irritating. It is time for the axe to fall..

Channel 4, after the
disgusting way you treated BABYLON 5 fans over the years
are you now just moving on to the next target by screwing
over fans of PARTY OF FIVE?
Why should any viewer ever again watch a new show on
Channel 4 when in 3 - 4 years time you might decide to
drop them too?
After showing four seasons of PARTY OF FIVE you should be
commited to showing the remander of the series and not
leaving viewers who have watched and enjoyed the show for
four years out in the cold.
Your treatment of your viewers is disgusting!

I honestly can't
believe that you aren't going to get the rights to show
the new season of Party of Five, you only have to look at
all the postings on this site to see how many people want
to see it, do you really give a **** what your viewers
want to see?? I guess not or you wouldn't be showing such
rubbish as late lunch, dishes, hollyoaks....I could go
on....I'm sorry but I am so sick of being messed around
by you I could scream!. We are promised at the end of the
last series that it will be back in the new year, you umm
and ahh about it for months and then we bluntly get
informed that you won't be showing it again. I can
honestly say that I have lost all interest and faith in
your channel and I won't be tuning in again.

What are Channel 4
thinking about??? I can't beleive they are not showing
any more of this excellent series.....that's right get
our hopes up and then completely dash them.....the only
bonus is that it will give me one less Channel to look
through when I am looking for something to watch.
Very disappointed Channel 4.

Party of Five is
great TV. Even that tired old cynic who used to write
Seinfeld said it was the best thing he watched.
Don't drop it - give it a regular slot and make a bit
more fuss about its fantastic location, serious plot
lines and ace music!

I totally agree with
all of these messages, what's the point of showing four
series of a show and then cancelling it - the programme
is HUGE in the US and none of my US friends can believe
it's not being shown here yet.
Why are there no replies from any Channel 4 personnel as
to why the fifth series isn't being shown? has it been
cancelled or just postponed? Please let us anxious PO5
fans know!
