Parkhust Cricket Club enjoys friendly non - league cricket on Saturday afternoons on the the Bexhill Down. As its name suggest  ,from the pavilion - you just go down ( rather like me in the batting order ) . Here is a picture of Pat facing the Lamberhurst bowling .  As you can see even the wicket keeper is too afraid to face the bowling .

It is rumoured that some wit gave Parkhurst its name by saying to the skipper ,after a short spell at the crease "Next lets hope your in for a longer stretch before admitting that the teams batting was criminal .While this rumour appears unfounded , the banter still exists .
