Many years ago I found myself in a relationship that became a living nightmare. Instead of seeking help from family or friends, I made excuses, told lies to cover the bruises and it was only until he looked me in the eye and told me he was going to kill me did I find the inner strength to stand up for myself and then GET OUT of the situation I was living in. Within a week, I was no longer a "victim" of Domestic Violence, I was a Survivor! It's hard to feel that you have hope when you are in the situation, but I am living proof it CAN BE DONE. You are not alone. Please, if you are currently in an abusive situation, TELL SOMEONE...RIGHT NOW... It may be cliche...but today CAN BE the first day of the rest of your life...
