Twins 2? **½

From the moment that scientist's successfully cloned a sheep around five years ago it was inevitable that Hollywood would make a new movie that dealt with the subject of cloning.  It is an interesting subject and one that could dramatically change our future, but one thing is for sure....it doesn't make a good movie.

The 6th Day is a typical Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.  It's got bad acting, a ridiculous plot (although it may not be ridiculous as you might think) and corny one-liners that will have you either laughing hysterically or cringing in your seat, depending on whether or not you're a Schwarzenegger fan.

In fact, a lot of your appreciation of this movie depends on whether you like Schwarzenegger or not.  Fans will dig this film while everyone else will be cursing themselves for wasting their hard-earned on this rubbish.

Schwarzenegger plays Adam Gibson, a helicopter pilot who finds himself caught in the middle of of a cloning experiment masterminded by a billionaire intent on making himself a god on earth.  You see, it is the near future and the cloning of human's is illegal thanks to an earlier attempt to do so that went horribly wrong.  So when Gibson discovers that he has been cloned he becomes a serious risk to those behind the experiment who decide that Gibson must be killed pronto.

What follows is the constant sight of Schwarzenegger running around trying to find out the truth behind what is going on, all the while killing people only to find that he has to kill them all over again after they are continuously cloned.  It all gets too much to handle after about an hour and the fact the movie drags on for close to two hours only adds to the frustration.

To make matters worse we have to deal with two Arnold Schwarzenegger's instead of one.  To be quite honest, I have enough trouble having to watch one Schwarzenegger and the sight of two of him is almost too (or is that two?) much to bare.

O.K granted, Schwarzenegger's movie are not all that bad.  They serve their purpose for people looking for a quick thrill that doesn't test out their brain matter.  It's just that if you've seen one Schwarzenegger action film then you've pretty much seen them all and The 6th Day offers nothing new.

Maybe it's about time that Schwarzenegger did another comedy.......maybe not.
