GIRL ON THE RUN
Miss Honey Bane pictured here in the spring of 1980 contemplating where to run next. Her groundbreaking band The Fatal Microbes were going through perpetual line-up changes, life in juvenile care was a drag and along with seedy managers things were pretty precarious. However Honey (real name Donna Tracy) wasn't one to cry over spilt milk. Theor the buxom Miss Bane was destined for a roller coaster ride through the UK punk scene. She had collaborations from the most unlikeliest of places. She dated Mickey Geggus of the Cockney Rejects, recorded the brilliant 'Girl On The Run' EP with Anarchist guru's Crass only to change direction completely when she was enticed by the bright lights and big cheques of EMI who wanted to create a new sex symbol. Her flirtations with the pop charts were shortlived and she soon went back into obscurity.
