Biography
Funny, charming, family man, Luck Mervil was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. He lived with his father, a limousine driver, in New York until the age of 4, before relocating to Montreal with his mother. He has attained huge success in Quebec with his band "RudeLuck" as well as with his solo career. Plamondon spotted him in 1994 during the "Francofolies de Montreal" outdoor music festival where he was interpreting a song from "Starmania". The idea of a black Clopin struck Plamondon who then proceeded to write the part with Luck Mervil in mind.
He made his final appearance as Clopin in Ottawa (Canada), being part of the 2001 Canadian cast of "Notre-Dame". Luck took part in the two special concerts of "Notre-Dame de Paris" with the Montréal Symphony Orchestra in November
2001, singing Clopin's part.
Luck played in a French movie called "L'histoire de Betty Fisher" (2001) and is working on
a French and English album as well.

Luck performed in "Notre-Dame de Paris" in the original Paris cast from 1998 to 1999 and in the original London cast from 15th May 2000 to July 2000.
He left the London cast so early because he had had an accident during the show (he fell of the girder in "The Court Of The Miracles"...
