LOG 9
Week: Sept. 6, 1999

Everyone has returned from Turkey! Which was great from me, and horrible for my deadline. The reconstruction's I had completed have turned out to be the "rough drafts." I couldn't have expected much better considering I was doing these alone for the first time. I am now in the process of redrafting all of my reconstruction's. I have spent this week learning to unfold layers via paper. To unfold units you take the folded section and slice it up into strips, so the section can basically be pulled flat. The hardest part of unfolding is mimicking it on Adobe Photoshop. What takes a few minutes to do on paper has taken hours to do on the computer. However this technique does work in unfolding the units, even if it takes awhile. So know I have been able to get my units completely straight.
HURRAY!
I still have to complete the final drafts of my reconstruction's, but this time there will be someone to correct my mistakes as I go along. A lot of time will be saved this way, and that is definitely needed at this point. The end of this month will be very busy for me because I have got to move back to Santa Barbara the day before the SCEC meeting starts. I may have to work through the next week-end to get everything finished. I hope to have my poster done soon so I at least have time to pack!  I feel a bit pressed for time at this point, but I have been working on my project since school got out. So I won't have any problems ( foreseen) finishing it by next week.
Don't we all work best under pressure?
