Kidders, Shermanbury - Thomas (Ellis) Muzzall and Catharine (1841 census) (Thomas died in 1878 aged 66 from his gravestone). IGI - Thomas Ellis Muzzall = Catherine Martin, 15th Dec. 1837, Henfield.

Marriage Licenses, Lewes 1620-1732: Thomas Mussell of Hendfeild, bachelor, and Rose Hayne of same, maiden; sureties said T.M. and John Holden of Hurstpierpoint (see also page 13 of Ernest's pub.) IGI Thomas Muzzell (of Cuckfield?) married (who?) 7th May 1672, Henfield. Also, Bay Tree Cottage, or Bysshops as it is sometimes called, a tudor hall house in Henfield High Street, built about 1570, has an indenture on the deeds dated April 10th, 1602, between Thomas Bishop of Parham and John Hayne of Henfield, Yeoman: "all that one house in High Street, Henfield, with buildings for three score and ten pounds. House in occupation of Edward Muzzell, together with one close of land of five acres near the Hillyfield".
