So, my name is Momchil Panayotov,  I'm 22 and my hobby is skiing.

    I live in Sofia, Bulgaria, a town surrounded by mountains. After a snow fall, the beautiful sight of white slopes is everywhere around us. And at  these  times all of us head for  the slopes of Vitosha, Rila and Pirin mountains, our favorite places...
 
What I like mostly is skiing in one meter Deep Powder and what I dream about is skiing in two...And I spend a lot of time trying to fulfill my dreams. Each year I spend 40-50 days skiing around Bulgaria's biggest mountains. In the cold winter days me and my friends search for the freshest snow crystals and at the end of the winter we aim at some beautiful couloir...And I must admit that up to now I have been lucky a lot of times...And when I think of Powder I always remember the incredible 25 March 1998. That day was the end of a perfect ski week. Five days skiing in fresh new snow. Five days running our favorite routes in the steep forests of Bansko and the Western face of Todorka. And five nights partying with the friends in ''the highest disco on the Balkans (~2000m) - Academica".

 		    And on this incredible 25 March the Mountain awarded our love for Her with more than 50 cm of Fresh Light Crystals... Put them above the old 60-70 cm of  Powder and you receive the situation...When I entered the steep forests I found out that I had problems breathing and seeing...If you have watched that part about Island  Lodge Lake in "The Fetish", well It was something like that...In the short moments when I could see I planned my direction and several turns later I understood whether it had been right or wrong...I was really sorry that I didn't have an air-pipe..Every turn was diving deep and then flying out. I felt so light and easy. The only thought that roamed around my brain was: "There is nothing better that this..." 
   For my greatest  pity I could not stay several more days. I just had finished all my money. Anyway, later I understood that on the next day the sun had came out and the powder soon had spoiled. So, I had got It...

Latest:  When at the beginning of March the weather becomes mild and the temperatures hit 16C the ordinary people are glad that the winter has finished. But at the same time I smile happily to myself, knowing that at the end of the month there are always heavy snowfalls. And when of 20 of March big snow crystals started flying in the air I felt that great days were comming...After three days and nights the news spread among us...more than 1 m of fresh powder in Bansko. The next day we were on the road.... Check News in a few days to learn what we have found.....
